*Two weeks later* Narrator
Its the day of the opening of B&L Corporation, and everyone is setting up. Seats are placed in front of the building just before a stage; a brown stand is placed to the far left, followed by other seats where professionals would sit along with the mayor.
The ceremony shouldn't be long. Mr. Bowman would give his long boring speech and bring up the heart aching news of him FINALLY stepping down from his title as the head of the organization.
And then he will choose the one that would take his place. Then that's where everyone would actually pay attention to him.
And I'll just hang in the back ground.... Just sitting here
*sips tea*

**Emily's P.O.V**
Finally we reach the ceremony and we make our way towards the parking lot. Grabbing, my purse and my separate hand bag that holds my make-up, I climb out of the car. Charles hasn't said anything the whole car ride here and I guess he's a little nervous about today. He looks angry though and I lock my arms inside of his.
"Try to smile," I tell to him and kiss his cheek. Some of my lip gloss stains his cheek and I brush it off.
He doesn't speak and we walk towards the security guards that blocks the road off. I smile at them and walk past. There are food and refreshments on different tables and I grab a cup of apple cider. Charles looks around the crowd of people and I do the same.
"Who are you looking for?" I ask.
"No one," he answers but his eyes continue to search every face in the crowd.
I look around and take a few sips of my drink. Its a little chilly out here but the sun is beaming down on my face. Grabbing my shades, I put them on.
That's when I spot Karen and nearly choked on my drink. She walks alone and I nearly laugh at how pathetic she looks.
Should have treated him better.
I Snicker to myself. "Come on babe. Let's take our seats."
This is going to be fun.

**Amika's P.O.V**
I don't even know why I came here.
Xavier better be happy that I even answered the phone when he called me.
I am so angry at him. I should punch him in his face......... Then kiss him afterwards.
He hasn't spoken to me in two whole days and yes I kept count! He claimed he was "busy" and had "important work" he need to take care of. Like.... What's more important than your own girlfriend?
I blush at the name girlfriend.
No! Stop! Your angry at him!
I cross my arms and continue to walk around until I nearly bumped into Karen.
"Damn Karen! Walk much?" I said jokingly but she doesn't laugh. My smile starts to fade and my B.F.F.T.L.E.W.E. side of me comes out. "What happened? What he do!? Want me to kill him?! I'll go get my pocket knife right now!"
Before I can turn to go, she grabs my arm. "No I don't need you going to jail before me," she says, trying to add a little humor into the situation. "I just.... I just don't feel good, that's all."
I give her that how-dumb-do-you-think-I-am look mixed with the come-on look.
She sighs and step closer to me.
"Promise not to say anything," she says, nearly begging me and I can sense how serious this is.
"I promise," I said, crossing my heart. "Now what happened?"
She looks around her and sighs. "I think......... I think Austin is planning on Killing Mr. Bowman."

**Karen's P.O.V**
I watch as her face expression change from "Wtf?" To "You lying".
"How do you know that?" She asks me. "Don't tell me he just came out of no where saying he was going to shoot someone cuz that's exactly what those white boys do."
A white lady turns and looks at us at that remark she made and I grab Amika's arm and lead her some where less crowded. We stand near the parking lot and I turn my body towards her.
"There was a file on his desk yesterday when I went to..... Speak to him." She gives me that smile and I blush fiercely. "And I didn't mean to open it but when it said something about owning the corporation, I kind of dropped it in my hand and opened it by accident." She laughs and I continue. "And I skimmed through it real fast so I barely read anything in it, but there was a sentence high lighted."
"What did it say?" She asks wanting to hear more. I twist my fingers nervously and look away from her. She grabs my arms. "Karen what did it say?"
"What did what say?"
We both spin around and Xavier makes his way towards us. Amika crosses her arms and turns her back towards him.
That's new.
He looks at her then back at me. "Telling secrets?" I don't say anything and neither does Amika. He looks between the both of us before saying "do you mind if I borrow my girlfriend for a second?"
Amika face blushes but she keeps her stance. "Me and Karen are having a serious conversation and-"
"Sure," I rush and said. "I don't mind at all. I'll go find a seat for me to sit.
And I rush off before she can stop me.
