Light in my Dark

Chapter 2: New Guardian

North's workshop, present day:

After the defeat of Pitch a while ago, everything calmed down and went back to normal. North was sculpting a new toy train and was about to have it turn into a rocket and fly around when Phil the Yeti came inside North's office in a panic. He spoke in his native tounge annd North's face held some fear.

"Not again." He sighed as he ran to the globe room.

In the globe room, there was an evil laugh and a familiar shadow flying around. North got out his swords and held them tight. Glancing at the globe, North saw the sand morph into a shadow of Pitch. The Shadow laughed and disappeared.

A look of utter confusion can upon North's face but he went to the Guardian signal and sent up the northern lights. The guardians came within minutes and they all met up in the main sitting room. Jack and Bunny were arguing about something only the two of them could understand, Tooth was barking orders to her little teeth, and sandy was falling asleep in the corner.

"Pitch is back." North boombed over everyone.

"What? I thought we sent his sorry butt away years ago." Jack responded.

"He was here, I saw his shadow." North explained.

North explained what he saw and Bunny called him out again for immagining things again. It was only when a pale blue light entered the room. North looked over and stood by the light. He turned his head up and looked at the moon.

"What do we do Manny?" North asked the light.

At that moment, the light glowed brighter and a blue crystal came out of the floor. The light spread to the center of the crystal and a figure of Pitch glowed. The guardians were in shock because he was supposed to be put away for a long while.

"What do we do now?" North asked the moon.

The light from the crystal changed into a person, a girl with long dark hair and bright eyes. She wore a simple black dress and strappy wicker wedges. She wore a kind smile and held her hands innocently behind her back. On her left side was a bag and if you looked close enough, then you could see a book in the bag.

"A new guardian? Cool!" Tooth smiled and fluttered closer.

"So, it's little Eve. At least she's not like you Frost." Bunny growled.

"You want to go and get her Bunny? Go ahead." Jack offered.
