Eve's Forest Meadow:
I was in the small abandon house I had found. There was a bunch of trees around it and not a lot of room to expand but I liked the closer from the world. I was inside studying my spell book I've had since I've been awoken by the Man In The Moon. I was happy to know that my favorite holiday Halloween was on its way and I could spread my power farther than just a few towns over, the farthest being the small town of Burgess.
Anyways, I was in my little office/magick room looking at my spell book when I saw a shadow zoom outside the window. I smiled slightly because I had an idea of who it was. I opened the window and went back to my work. I heard the sound of paws landing on the ground and smiled.
"It's nice to see you again Bunnymund. Need help with your egg painting again? Easter isn't for a while longer, isn't it?" I said looking through my herbs collection.
"I accually came to get you." Bunnymund replied.
I felt a sack go over my head and I heard Bunnymund tap his foot against the ground. I knew what that meant, I was travelling the funnest ways possible. Bunnymund's tunnels! I cheered and shouted as I fell through it. It sadly wasn't as fun with the sack over me.
Once my joyride was over, I fell onto a hard floor. I was giggling slightly still when the sack was opened. I looked over to see some little elves opening the top for me. I crawled out and was hoisted up by a yeti. I looked behind me to see Phil. I smiled a thanks to him and faced forward.
"Eve, nice to you." I saw a tall russian man bellowed as he held out his hand for me to shake.
"Saint Nickolas North, it is nice to see you too." I replied shaking his hand.
Tooth came over to me and introduced herself to me. I remember Bunnymund telling me that Tooth has a habit of checking out others teeth so I kept my mouth away from her and kept it shut. Of course that didn't stop her, I was still a victim of her tooth search.
"Wow, for the Halloween Spirit, you have perfect teeth. So shiny!" She beamed.
"Thank you Tooth." I calmly replied and backed away.
I glanced around, looking for Bunny when I saw him. There was no hiding the blue eyes and snow white hair. I knew in an instant that it was him. Jack Frost. I looked at him for a second and made my way over to him. I held my breath and thought about what I would say to him. We have had our run ins with eachother before but I didn't know if now would be a good time to bring those up. I was about to be nice and say hi when he opened his mouth.
"Hey there Lone Wolf." He smirked.
I was beyond angry with that remark from him. I walked closer to him and got in his face. A simple flick of my wrist and he was held in place by dark green vines. I growled in his face and began to walk away.
"What's wrong Hallows? Can't take a simple joke?" Jack yelled from his trap.
"I can take a joke Frost, what I can't take is you right now. Halloween is coming up and you are making it snow already. I thought we had a deal." I snarled.
I heard North clear his throat and I looked over at him. He look somewhat scared so I took a deep breath and released Jack from my vines. I looked back over at North and he seemed back to his happy self again. He did remind me of a grandfather by always wanting what is best for me.
"So, how come I'm here? Last time I checked, I was on the Nice list." I asked sitting by the globe.
"Eve, Manny has chosen you to be a Guardian!" North boomed.
The elves and Yetis came out with fire and horns and lots of stuff that I was overwhelmed. I looked around and they were getting closer and louder. I held my arms close to me and tried to make as much room as possible between me and the noise. I could see that this wasn't going to help me so I said the first spell I could think of from my book.
"Awayis, Awayis, 20 Feet. Get away, Get away from me!" I chanted and heard the noise fade some.
I looked around to see the others looking at me weird. I sighed and relaxed myself a little bit. This was just all to much for me at the moment. I mean, I have Halloween to plan for and make sure that all the children of the world have what they need. A costume, a bucket for their candy, and not to mention the candy that has to be made! I have to go to all the chocolate factories and candy dispensors to double check on th candy supply. I don't have time to con children into believing in me. I do fine without believers.
"I'm sorry, but why do you think I want to be a Guardian? I have Halloween that takes up all my time getting ready for and I don't really have anyone to help me with that. I have only myself so If I could just go..." I explained as politely as I could.
"Eve, you were chosen by Manny to be a Guardian, you can't just decline." Bunny stated.
I sighed and waved my hand so that all the elves and yetis came back. I looked infront of me and saw 2 elves holding a box up for me. I looked at it and opened the top. There was a black velvet, hooded cape. I smiled and put it on. It was soft and warm. Maybe being a Guardian wouldn't be so bad, I mean, there would be others to help me and there could be some believers for me to look after.
"Eve Hallows," A dark voice called me. "Come home my darling daughter."
Everyone got out their weapons and got ready to fight. I help out my hands and started thinking of defensive spells to use. I looked around and saw a shadow moving across the globe. The shadow morfed into a dark figure with pale gray skin, golden eyes kinda like the gold that sometimes appears in my hazel eyes, and pitch black hair. He wore a black suit with a black tie.
"Eve, you look stunning my dear." He smiled.
There was something up with his smile. I looked at the others and I saw something in Jack's eyes, it looked like he was scared that something bad would happen. I shook that feeling and aimed my right hand at the man.
"I don't know who you are but I am not your 'dear' so leave." I stated.
He smiled. "Just as brave as you were when you were killed. It took me long enough to fine you my darling daughter. Now, you shall come home with me one day. for now however, I will let you be free and play with your weak little guardians."
He vanished and I looked around at the guardians. They seemed a little scared and confused as well. I know I was really confused. I'm only Eve Hallows, Spirit of All Hallows Eve A.K.A Halloween. I didn't have a father or a family. Right?
