Third person POV:
Sophie and Jamie stayed in the closet holding onto each other tight. In that small closet, those two children held onto the words that Eve had told them. They stayed brave and stayed together so that, in their minds, the fear couldn't touch them.
Midnight flew to the North Pole and stopped in front of the guardians' feet. Jack was the one who opened the letter and read it out to everyone. All of their faces held shock. Eve had just asked for help. She was in trouble; Jamie and Sophie were in trouble; for all they knew, every child was in trouble. They came up with a plan and left to find the kids and save Eve.
Eve was sitting in a dark room with nothing but a small candle for light. She was tied up on a chair and Nightmares were surrounding her. Pitch looked on with a small smile, waiting for her to open her eyes and wake up.
Jack was determined to find her and save her. She had saved his life and he wanted to return that favor. Him and Bunny were going to Pitch's hideout to see if she was there. North, Tooth and Sandy were at Eve's cottage getting Sophie and Jamie. Jack was about 5 minutes ahead of Bunny and was preparing himself to fight.
Sophie's POV:
Jamie and I were sitting close together inside Evie's closet. I wasn't as scared anymore because Evie said that fear couldn't hurt me if I was brave. Jamie was keeping his eyes on the door and I looked around the closet. I saw pots, jars with lots of funny things in it, and a little book. I tried to reach for it but Jamie stopped me and held me tighter.
"You have to seat here Soph, Evie said so." He whispered.
"Book, Jamie!" I replied.
He sighed and looked over at the book I wanted. He nodded and let me go for a quick second so I could grab it. Once back, he put his arm around me and looked at the cover. I tried to read it but I don't know how yet. I looked up at Jamie and asked him to read it for me. He shook his head and pointed to the cover.
"It's her diary. You can't read that. Its not nice." He explained.
I sighed and nodded. We stayed like that until we heard something come through the front door. Jamie held me closer and I was holding my breath. Foot steps could be heard coming from close to the door and I was getting scared again.
"Jamie, Sophie, its okay. You can come out now." I heard a lady say.
We opened the door a little bt and saw Santa, a pretty fairy and a gold man. The fairy came closer and opened the door for us. Once the door was opened, she pulled us into a hug and held us there for a little while. I still had the diary in my hands.
"What do you have there Sophie?" Santa asked me.
"Evie." I replied.
They took the diary and opened it to a page. I don't understand why I couldn't open it but they can? i wanted to know what was going on too! I walked over and tried to look at the book but he wouldn't get down so I could see too.
"We're going home Soph. I'm sure that Eve will be fine." Jamie told me.
I nodded and we left with Santa back home. Once we were back home in bed, I looked outside my window and closed my eyes. I wanted Evie to be safe. I opened my eyes and looked up at the moon.
"Please be brave Evie." I whispered and then went to my bed and went to sleep.
