Darling's POV
I stood there, breathing heavily, waiting until I could not hear any sound of Alistair's return. I peeked out of the doorway, and looked left and right. It looked like the coast was clear. I walked out but stopped when I saw a familiar sight. The girl with the red dress stood at the end of the hall, coated with blood. "Wh-what happened to you?" I asked shakily. She opened her eyes. "Who do you think you're talking to you foolish girl?!" She screamed, "I'll carve out that filthy little tongue of yours!" A pair of bloody scissors snapped at her side. I squeaked and started to back away. Then she began to laugh. It was an insane high pitched laugh. She continued to advance and I was backing away so fast that I tripped over my heels. I fell backwards and I was so scared that when I hit the ground, I wet my pants. She was still laughing. Then she vanished.

"Well this is the best thing I can do..." I sighed as I tucked my soiled underwear under a floor board. "It's a little drafty, but I can manage..." Then I stopped. I had not noticed the footsteps until I heard the last thud of the feet behind me. I turned around, my heart was frozen. I was met with a horrible sight. It was Alistair, but I recognized only half of him. Half of him was muscle, as if half of his skin was sliced off. He wasn't bleeding much, but I still gasped in horror. His hands grabbed ahold of my neck, my own hands struggling fruitlessly to loosen them. I managed to choke out one last scream, before the world turned black.
