21 AN: Soon, my dearest friends - soon Chuck will arrive. Byebye, and enjoy:

Emily's P.O.V.

Five months passed since Alby forbid the war between Minho and I. I'm still pissed that he ended it.

Ugh, Alby is such a boring, grumpy shank who has forgotten what fun means.

And what added fuel to the fire was the fact that we got five new Greenies, and guess what? None of them were girls.

I don't get it! The Creators have to send some girls up, right? One day or another, they have to do that. If they don't, it must mean that I was a mistake. And I can't live with that thought.

But I do have some good news; Tyler recovered after he was hit by a wall. Thank shuck for that.

"Hey, do you guys need any help?" I asked as I entered the Medjack's hut, watching Clint and Jeff bandaging up some hurt Gladers.

"Nah, we got this. Go and do whatever you usually do," Clint said, but he didn't meet my eyes.

I sighed and left the room. I actually didn't have anything to do now. Frypan didn't need me, all the Runner jobs for today had been taken, no one was misbehaving, and now Clint didn't need me either.

This is a boring day.

So I did the only thing I could do for today, I sat down by the Gardens and enjoyed the peace and quietness.

"Hey, Emily," a voice spoke behind me.

I turned around to meet the face of one of the Newbies. He had arrived two months ago. "Oh, hey, Charlie. What's up?"

"Nothing. I'm just taking a break," he replied as he sat down next to me - a bit too close in my opinion.

I scooted away as he was invading my 'bubble', "Ah, I see."

"You know," he started, looking me in the eyes. "You look really beautiful today."

My eyebrows furrowed, "I mean, I haven't showered for two days, but thanks."

"I think you look very beautiful. Like, really, really, really beautiful." He moved closer.

"Ehh, okay?" There was something weird about him, and I didn't like it. "I actually gotta go now. Don't slack off too much, Charlie."

"Wait, I like your company," he took a hold of my wrist. "Can't you stay here with me a bit longer?" I tried to pull my hand to myself, but he wouldn't let go.

"Charlie, let go."

"Come on, Em," he continued. "Just a bit longer and-"

"Hey, is everything good here?" A British accent popped out of nowhere, which made Charlie let go of my wrist instantly. I met Newt's eyes, giving him a glance of gratitude.

"Yes, everything is good," Charlie replied as he watched me stand next to the other Second In Command. "Right, Emily?"

I glared at him, crossing my arms in front of my chest, "It is good now."

Before Charlie could say anything, Newt spoke, "Emily, I actually need your help with that Second In Command thing. Remember that?

"Ah, right. The Second In Command thing, which is only for Second In Commands. Like you and I," my response was met with eager nodding from Newt.

"Exactly! Second In Command thing for Second In Commands that only Second In Commands can fix since it's a Second In Command matter," Newt continued the lie, which I was unsure if Charlie bought. "Well, we better get going and finish our Second In Command business then."
