About three weeks later, the doctors all said I was free to leave, so I left. I went straight home and called Ethan and while I was talking to him, I had butterflies in my stomach. I didn't think that love felt this way, even though they always say it in the movies and books, I thought it was different.
"Tamera, can you meet me at the beach in bout ten minutes?"
"Yeah, sure, why?"
"I just wanna talk to you alone."
"Okay, well I'll be there."
"'Kay thanks Tam."
I asked my dad to drive me down to the beach and he said he would and told me to call him when I'm ready to come home. I was still being watched carefully because of my leg.
I found Ethan and I started walking to him. He saw me and his eyes lit up instantly.
"Hey, I got a surprise for you. Close your eyes." I did as he said and he picked me up and started to walk. It was a while before he told me to open my eyes. When he did, I almost died. It was the most beautiful sight I had ever seen. The trees were in perfect spots and the lake looked beautiful because of the surrounding trees. I stood there for a silent minute before I said anything.
"Ethan, It's Beautiful." I turned to face him and then I got a little closer to him and as soon as he leaned in to kiss me, a goat ran past.
"Haha, that was random." He went back into the position he was in.
In my head, I already killed the goat three times. I decided not to kill it for real, even though it just ruined what could have been a romantic kiss.
"You wanna go back?"
"Sure." We got up and started walking back to the beach. When we got to the beach, we hugged and went our seperate ways. When I got home, my dad asked me what I wanted for dinner and I told him just whatever.
After dinner, I went up to my room and called Ellie.
"Hello? Is Ellie there?"
"Yeah, shes right here."
I heard the phone being passed around.
"Hello?"
"Hey Ellie, its Tammy, Ive gotta talk to you about something."
"Ok, hit me."
"Ok so..." I told her about the romantic spot and the almost romantic kiss and the goat. We must have talked for three hours before we finally ran out of things to talk about.
"Hey Tammy, I gotta go, Ill see ya later."
"Ok, see ya later, have a good night."
I hung up the phone and got my pajamas. I started to go towards the bathroom when I heard someone knock on the door, my dad answered it. I glanced over my dad and saw Ethan standing there with a present in his hand. Oh crap. I had forgotten all about my brothers birthday. I felt super bad. I ran right up to his room and gave him a gigantic hug.
"Ben, Im so sorry I forgot about your birthday, please forgive me, Ill make it up to you. Tomorrow, we are going out for ice cream. My treat."
"Ok, ill forgive you if you stop squeezing me so hard." Unknowingly, I let go of him. I ran downstairs just in time to see Ethan get into his car. I waved bye to him and took a shower. I sat in my bed after I took my shower and thought about everything that had happened, eventually, I fell asleep.
