Freya's POV
Rachel and I were trying to bake a cake for Delilah. To personalise her welcome home gift as she spend 2 weeks in Barcelona with her dad. The thing was we didn't know how to bake a cake for shit.
"Eggs are so slimey." I say and Rachel just laughs at me. "Theres flour in your hair." I tell her. My phone rings and I wipe my hands on Rachel who screams at me.
"Hello?" I say accepting Romeo's call. We were talking normally but I was still annoyed by him.
"Hey. What you up to?" He asks. It sounded like he was with his friends. I heard them talking in the background.
"Nothing much. Baking a cake." I tell him sounding casual.
"A cake? You? Why?" He sounds suprised and I don't blame him.
"Rude." I chuckle.
"Jimmy and I were going to the game. Had an extra ticket."
"Delilahs coming back home. In about an hour. Were going out probably tonight. If you want to come out as well?''
"Sure.'' He says.
''Oh by the way. How do you make a cake.'' I ask making him laugh.
''I cook Freya. I don't bake.'' He tells me and I roll my eyes. ''Same shit.'' I say and Rachel screams out. ''I think the oven doesn't work.'' She says and I hear Romeo laughing. ''Great. I'll call you later.'' I say hanging up. ''If it doesn't work we should just allow this and go buy a cake quickly from a bakery. We can pass it off as ours.''
''Lets go. I like carrot cake.'' She says and I stick out my tongue. ''Disgusting.'' I grab my keys and walk out the apartment with Rachel. I liked my new home. It was beautiful and so my style. Rachel, Delilah and I had a lot of fun but I missed home sometimes where my mom would hug me at night and my dad would make pancakes sundays when Eliza was off from work.
We get back home in time for Delilah arrival surprising her. We have cake for dinner which was a bad idea if were planning on going out. After we hit out first club, Romeo and his friends were still at the game. I get a little drunk. Enough to be aware of everything but not enough to be rational.
''Freya, Freddie is in this place.'' Delilah says and I look up from our booth. What was he doing back in town anyway. Emily warned him and I have told the girls about my plan. Just like Em, it was a no. He couldn't see us. There were some other friends of ours hanging with us at our booth. He was with some friends I assumed as they had drinks and girls were following him like a lost puppy.
''Great.'' I say when he sees me. His eyes rest on me for a little before he carries on his conversation. Seeing him made me feel things. Surely, it must be because I was drunk. Its been almost a year since I gave birth to Mason and he was ripped from us a day later. I still blamed Freddie for everything. He came into my life with the intention of destroying me. I should have known better. But through everything, he was my first love and it was even more fucked up because he fell in love with me too. Thank God, I was away from that corrupted time of life. Seeing him reminded me of everything bad and good that happened when he was with me. How he made me feel and howi happy I was in my deluded days but then again how I was distanced from my family and friends believing him over them. How after he had poisened my mom making her have a miscarriage and how stupid I was to go back to him and get pregnant myself. It was karma for his baby to die just like how he killed my mothers the stupid bastard.
Romeo.
He would understand how wrong it is to still be 'friends' with your ex. Thats not cool. ''I'm gonna get a drink.'' I say getting up. Rachel rolled her eyes knowing I was heading towards self destruction. As I wait for my drink, like I knew, Freddie stood next to me.
