Noah's POV

Studio times were usually what I liked the most about my new career. I got to create music I was proud of. I got to chill with my friends and we could sit here day in and out. I could write rubbish and they would tell me. It gave me the opportunity to make music with different producers and collaborate with different singers.

Today was different though. I felt like a lot of tension was in the air at the studio. It was Rachel who I invited to the studio today. I felt like lately me and her haven't been on the best terms. She ignores me for days and shows up sometimes when were hanging out. She doesn't say much to me and I am actually getting a headache every time I think about her. I liked her but I didn't want to date my ex. I don't know if I could even call her my ex. We dated 2 years ago when I was 16 and I crushed on her bad but we had to break up because she was crazy back then. She had this bad girl persona where now she calmed down a lot. She was so sweet, funny and honestly she was stunning.

I look up when she walks inside. She closes the door behind her and takes out the earphones she had in her ears. Her blonde hair was falling down her shoulders. She wore a simple shirt and skinny jeans. I was having a quiet writing session today where I could put my feelings into words and riddles on paper where nobody would really understand what I sang about.

"Hey." She says and I look at her. "Where is everyone?" She asks.

"Their life doesn't revolve around mine Rachel." I say playing one of the tunes Chris and I recorded earlier. "That sounds good." She says and I turn the volume up a little. "Your voice sounds amazing."

She puts her bag down and her phone and dances to the song. It was an up beat song with a few beat drops. She takes my hand and makes me dance along with her. We had so much fun when we were together. It was almost unavoidable. I was still holding to her hand making her twirl a few times. She was so silly as she didn't take anything serious. Maybe that is what I liked about her. It goes to the next song which is a slow song. Rachel lets go of my hand and sits down

"That was cute." She says and I chuckle sitting back down on the chair stopping the song. "You wanna hear what I wrote today?" I ask and she nods. I turn the music back on we listen to the tunes.

"I should go." Rachel says as I stop the track. That was random. I raise my eyebrows and she gets up. "I can't do this. Its like I'm falling in love with you and your stupid romantic songs..."  She says clearly in distress. I get up to speak to her as she grabs her bag.

"What are you talking about." I ask and she sighs sitting down. "I don't know what this is Noah."

"You mean us?"

"Yes us."

"Oh."

"See. This is why I tried to keep you at a distance for a few weeks."

"This is why you have been ignoring me?"

"You literally do not let me breathe... I mean you give me the signs, I mean we sleep together for goodness sake and you still say 'oh' when I say us. You're playing me and you're playing every other girl out there."

"I'm not playing you."

"Just admit it." She says looking at me. She looked ao frustrated and annoyed but yet sad...

"Fine. But I haven't done anything worse than what you did to me 2 years ago..."

"So you're saying I deserve this? You messing with other girls infront of my face?"

"Was this not the game you played Rachel? Just because you wear colour now you think I'd just forget?"

"We were so young."
