Emily's POV
"Maybe we should speak to him?"
"Why would we?" Marshall asks as I look at Malcolm getting out of the backseat. He walked across the street into the restaurant we were sitting by the window. I shuffle a little in my chair and wait for Malcolm to approach us. "Maybe he's just here to eat." He shrugs leaning back on his chair and putting down his fork. Malcolm looks at around and sees us.
"Or not. How did he even know where we were." Marshall says clearly annoyed.
"Just hear him out." I suggest. Marshalls eyes flick towards me and he sighs. "This was you wasn't it? Damn it Emily." He says and I see he is angry.
"Save it." Marshall says looking up at Malcolm who stood still.
"Marshall. Just listen." He says sitting down.
"Nope. I'm not. You guys can have a nice dinner." He says getting up. "Marshall." I say but he ignores me walking out the restaurant.'
"Great. I told you this was happening." I say annoyed at the guy standing infront of me.
"Its so hard with him."
"You got that on yourself." I say getting up myself paying the bill running after Marshall. He dissapeared. Great. I get into my car and drive to his place. Dylan was in London for the next week or so for his studies. So when I got to the apartment, I knew Marshall wasn't going to open up for shit.
"For Gods sake. Open up." I say and he finally does. I walk to the lifts pressing the floor button before knocking on the door which he took time opening.
"Whats the matter with you?"
"Me? Me?" He asks and I nod. "You're kidding me. You're pushing your luck. First you lie to me about him when I lost my memory. You fucked up with my head, letting me get close to him even though you knew what kind of person he was and now your setting up little play dates for us?" He says before walking away from me. The whole week Dylan was gone, Ive been crashing here. Looks like I'm heading home.
"Don't walk away from me. I only did it because he was so desperate."
"You know I don't even wanna talk to you. I can't believe you keep pulling the same stunt." He says and I bite my lower lip getting frustrated for trying to do good but always getting into this shit.
"Why are you making me the bad guy?" I say annoyed. "I'm trying to do whats best for you." I say
"Did I fucking ask for that. Are you my mom? My wife?" He snaps and I bite my lip. Usually Marshall would come back from this. I knew Marshall. He had sides nobody saw but me sometimes.
"Why are you being like this."
"Because you're making me. Stay out of my business." He says hurting me. "You can't fix everything." He says walking into his room slamming the door shut. I feel tears streaming down my face. I didn't like this Marshall. I brought this on myself though. I get out wiping my tears going home.
As I walk in, I hear voices. Probably Vanessa and Shane. I try to sneak past the living room.
"Hey Em." Vanessa says and I smile quickly seeing Shane and Kayden. Great.
"Hey." I say Before walking off. Vanessa walks after me into my room. "Whats wrong?" She asks and I burts out in tears telling her what happened. She was so nice and supportive, hugging me and me it will be okay.
"Oh wow." She says hugging me. "Do you want me to stay in?"
"No. I'm fine." I say not wanting to burden her
