[Willow]

It was late afternoon, three days later, when Steve finally returned. I was in the infirmary, stitching up a cut Antlers gave me. Stupid. I had just finished I off, when the doors flew open, and there, covered in blood and muck, was Steve, holding someone over his shoulder.

"Over here." I said shaking my head. "Is this your personal mission?" I asked gesturing to the man he was setting down on the infirmary bed.

Steve scratched the back of his neck. "Sorry."

"Just go, he'll be okay soon." I shooed Steve out and then went to tend to the man he had set down. I couldn't see his face through all the dust and muck, but he had medium length dark hair. He was quite buff and you could see the muscles in his arm.

Wait. Arm?

I looked at where his other arm was supposed to be and saw gleaming metal protruding from his shoulder. I picked up a cloth and wiped down his face gently. It really was him.

"Bucky?" I asked softly.

At the sound of my voice, Bucky's eyes fluttered slowly. I decided it would be best if I stitched up the nasty gash he had in his side. I dipped the needle in a bottle of vodka and stuck it into his skin. I carefully pushed the needle in and out of his skin. I tied it off and put him back on the bed gently. As soon as his head touched the pillow, his eyes shot open.

He looked around for a split second, before punching me on the cheek and standing up. He pulled the various cords and cables out of his skin as I got up. By the time my vision had cleared, he was halfway out the door. I sighed in annoyance and ran after him. He was turning around a corner, when I slid and tripped him over. I tried to hit him in the stomach, but he blocked me and slammed his head down on me.

"Nice try, Stumpy." I growled. I grabbed hold of his arm and twisted it round to his back. From this position, he pulled me over his back, and slammed me on the ground. I jumped up to see him running around another corner. I raced after him to see him trapped between me and Tony.

"What the fuck?" Tony asked as Bucky rammed his fist into his stomach.

"Stark duck!" I yelled as I pulled out my gun and aimed at Bucky. I fired, after Tony fell to the ground, and hit Bucky in the upper thigh. I put my gun back in my shorts and went to the fallen soldier. "Thanks Stark." I picked up Bucky, who was yelling obscenities at me, and put him over my shoulder, carrying him back to the infirmary.

As I was preparing to cut the bullet out of Bucky, he spoke for the first time. "You're going to this while I'm awake?"

"No." I said. I had a syringe filled with anaesthetic beside me, but after the work he was putting me through, I punched him so hard his head rolled over, motionless, bar his breathing.

After I'd taken out the bullet, and wrapped the wound in bandages, he finally woke.

"Jesus, bitch. I didn't mean like that. What if I'd never woken up?" He asked me angrily.

"Then I would've found a suitable place to bury you. And don't call me bitch." I looked up at him, glaring.

"Well, you called me Stumpy. Also, I don't know your name. Would you prefer Mafia Girl?" He said scathingly. So he did remember.

"Willow," I said in barely a whisper.

"What?"

"My name's Willow." I said louder.

"Okay, Willa." I shook my head at the stupid nickname. "Or maybe W. That's cute."

I slipped my knife out and held it against his neck. "Call me W and I will end you. You understand Stumpy?" No-one called me W. That's what he called me.

"Fine. Willa it is." He grinned. "Glad we're on a nickname basis."

I shot him a sarcastic smile and walked out the room. As I was walking out, I saw Steve watching us.

"Thank you." I whipped my head round at Steve's voice.

"For what?" I asked confused.

"That man lying there is the Winter Soldier. He is the man who was brainwashed by HYDRA. He's the man who tried to kill me. But for a second, he was James Buchanan Barnes. My best friend. The one I lost on that train. Thank you for letting me know, he is still in there." After he'd finished, Steve turned around and walked down the hallway, happier than I'd seen him in a long time.

Had I really caused that?

Hi... So... Sorry about last week. I had like 3 folders of homework to do, then I went to see Hamlet (OMG. WHERE DO I BUY IT ON DVD. I CAN'T. IT WAS SO GOOD) And overall, I didn't have time to write. Whoops. Anyway, I'm back on track. Also, I stopped writing my Maze Runner fanfic, so now I only have 2 books I'm writing. So, hopefully my writing will be better, as I'll have more time.

Bai!
