U.N.I ~17

It's been a week since I got signed and couldn't be more content. Nobody outside of my family knows so I guess that's something to look forward to. Sage, Tyde and Steele were so happy and it was the best feeling in the world just to have that sense of support from your family and boyfriend around you.

Connor and I have been on another date since. It wasn't too much since I can't afford fancy restaurants, but I took him to this little cafe downtown. It was so dainty and cute; we had smashed avo and eggs on toast, good god it was nice. Oh and of course we came back for coffee later on in the day, I mean it's Connor and I we're talking about here so that's not really a surprise.

Currently, we (Connor, Tyler, Korey and I) are all sat on the field on our free period. For the first time in a while, we all have a free period together. As usual, the topic of discussion is boys but I'm not really paying attention. My mind is focused on when I can finally tell them about Connor and I and the record deal.

Tyler seems to notice my not so well hidden excitement, turning to face me. "Why do you look so happy? Wait, that came out wrong, but you look happier than usual?" He breaks off the conversation which I assume is still about Joey.

I look up at Connor, trying to get him to explain for me. He gets the hint, telling them all about the meeting and how I got the record deal. I'd told him a much more detailed recount of events via Skype as soon as I got home from there.

"Oh my god! Troye!" Korey squeals. I laugh, blushing at all their congratulations.

"Seriously, that's amazing! How could you not tell me for a whole week?!"

"Honestly, I don't know." I smile at the two of them, and then over at Connor when he speaks up.

"I know, I'm so proud of him." He smiles contentedly and I almost kiss him before realising they don't know. That would explain the curious glances Korey is giving me. He looks as if he knows what's happening but also simultaneously has no idea.

"It means I'll get to make some more money for my family. Obviously that's not why I want to do it, but you know what I mean? It'll mean I can help my parents out a bit if they ever have more money problems. I'm just really excited in general." I explain to them all.

We talk about it for a few minutes before Connor stands up. "I've got to go to Math, the bells going soon." He tells us.

I stand up to hug him but regret it as soon as I wrap my arms around him and see the looks the two are giving me.

Once he's left, Tyler starts up a conversation again. "Seriously, that is cool. When do you start going to the studio and stuff?" He asks me, making me rack my brain to remember if he mentioned a date. I don't think he did.

"I don't know for sure, but soon. At least I hope it's soon? Since there's the whole 5 albums in 5 years thing."

"5 albums, that's fucking crazy! You're so lucky and talented it's unreal." Korey states, almost at a clear loss for words at how much 5 albums is. I nod and grin at him, still not over the joy the idea brought me.

"One second." I tell them, standing up to go and text Connor. I want to know when we can tell them, it's killing me not to be able to talk to Korey about it.

To Con: hey Connie ik you're in class (sorry), could we maybe tell them when you're out of lesson? x

As soon as I finish typing, I send it. I stand on the grass, turned away from the pair behind me, waiting for a reply.
