Valentina's pov
I wrap my arms around her form when she makes it back to me.
"Goddammit, Raine, let me finish speaking before you run off." I growl to her. She shifts back with a groan.
"You want to leave. I get it. I'm not special."
"I want to leave with you." I growl.
"Leave... With me?"
"Yes, Raine, leave with you. You travel with me. I still haven't found my mate. I'm going to another pack after this one. You can travel with me. I'm not leaving yet. I still have till the end of this month."
"Oh god, I feel bad now." I shake my head and keep my arms wrap around her.
"I never want to leave you."
"I'm sorry." She whispers into my neck.
"It's fine. Let's get home. You're freezing." Tobi hands me my shirt I brung for her. I put it over her head and it comes mid-thigh.
"You're so small." She frowns at me. "You're wearing my shirt, sweetie." Her face heats up. "But it's a bit big on me so it's okay." I take in her scent. But a metallic scent reaches my nose too.
"Blood." I growl. I could feel my eyes darker.
"Val, are you okay?"
"Why is there blood on you?"
"I ran though briers." I breathe in and out through my nose. Her vanilla and flower scent calms me.
"I'm sorry." I mumble. I pick her up bridal style. "Let's go home." I mumble. Tobi and I make our way through the woods, Raine falls into a sleep. We make it back to the house. I avoid everyone and take Raine upstairs. I wake her up.
"Go get you a quick shower, yeah?" She nods and grabs a change in clothes. I change really fast and crawl into bed. Raine comes out and crawls into the bed with me. I pull her into my arms.
"Please don't leave me." She whispers softly.
"Never." I whisper. I kiss her forehead. We fall asleep.
