Chizuru POV
"Hello husband," I say, the lie gritting against my teeth as I recall the events of a few days before when I fell unconscious. I feel remotely ill calling him my husband as I remember how he practically poisoned my Lalia and I, making us think we loved him. Lalia seems to be going along with my plan as she runs to him saying Papa, smart girl!
"We came home and I tripped over this bag and well, I was being nosey," I laugh awkwardly as he looks at me, nervousness crawling my skin. "I see," he replies and walks over, helping me up and kissed my hand, eww.  "How was the village today?" He asked in a flat tone as thunder cracks through the air, causing Lalia to run to my arms as she and I are both terrified of thunder. "G-good," I reply, the fear could be scented through my trembling, timid voice.
Chikage looked at us like a lion hounding its prey, ready to pounce at any moment. "Mama I want daddy," Lalia said to which Chikage twitched his head and advanced towards us. "What did you say, brat?" His snarl held as he got closer and closer to us, I holding Lalia as tight as I could, thunder and rain deafening me. "I WANT MY DADDY!" Lalia shouted to which Chikage lifted his hand as if to slap her, oh no he doesn't! I grab the candle stick that was the only light in the room and swung it, hitting his head, the impact knocking him to the ground. "Lalia, quick run!" I shout as I push her infront of me to make sure she gets out of this hell hole first. As I go to run, Chikage grabs hold of my ankle, gripping it so tightly I scream in pain as I hear some bones crushing from his hold. Lalia kept running through the pitch black house thing, her footsteps could be heard echoing against hollowed floors.
"I'll get her, dear," Chikage longed out his words in a tease as I pulled him down, no way was he finding my daughter. "Chikage stop it, you have me what else do you need?" I practically beg the creep to just take me, I would never forgive myself if I allowed him to hurt her but, then again, I'm a good liar. As he made eye contact, a satisfied grim crawling across his face from
pining me down in my back, his hand on my arms and a knee on my thigh, I use my free leg and knee him the only place able to make a grown ass demon squeal. Having him like this, I reach my hand to the bedside table and reach for a strategically placed set of books, grabbing one and hitting his head as hard as I could, fury burning through me like I'd never seen before. I could feel each vein in my body pump the word kill as I so badly wanted to hurt him for messing with Hijikatas family and mine.
I hobble up, grimacing in pain as I look at my bent so far out of place ankle it looks fake, purple already circling where he squeezed it. I go to run out of the room as he pulls me down once again, this time I land on my stomach, sharp pain crawling up my spine and side. "Don't dare think you can leave me with our child, wife," he slurs in my ear, holding my fists that I was swarming to hit him with. "Fuck you!" I spit in his face, not lady like but desperate times call for desperate measures. "You know I was trying to be civil with you but it appears you are not thinking the same way," he grabs my throat, choking me as I fit for my breath until a dark character emerges from behind...
