Chapter Seven

I stare at the being, him and I the only ones in the room. The rest of the Shinsengumi banished when they seen the foul mood I was in and the speed I was walking at, dare anyone get in my way. His face annoys me, it's the kind that he doesn't even have to do anything to annoy you just him breathing is enough to send my head crazy, fists so badly wanting to dent his face to make it impossible for him to pull that sinister smirk.
"You have no business here, Chikage," I snarl at him as he sits so carefree in my territory. "Oh but you see," he smirks," My poor pregnant wife and little innocent daughter are here and I came to retrieve them from you mutts." He's asking for it now. "Watch your tongue or I'll cut it if you speak such nonsense again," my tones harshness sent shivers down my own spine. "I should thank you, Hijikata, for watching them for me I mean I owe you all my deepest gratitude but now it's time my family and I be out of your hair," his eyes lock on to mine as he manifests into thin air, no trace of him ever being there.
"I'll kill him, I'm going to kill him," I pace the quarters up and down, muttering to myself as I try to calm down before I see my wife and my child. "I'm guessing it wasn't a casual visit from the baker then," Okita asked in his sarcastic tone to which I was in no mood for. "Not now or you'll join my hit list," I snap as I try to settle my bubbling anger by looking at the blossoms. "What did he want with Chizuru, eh?" Heiskue asks as he joins the sarcastic fox. "He wanted to take Lalia and Chizuru with him to god knows where," I reply which attracts the attention of the other Shinsengumi gang.
"WHATTTTTTTT!" Harada, Shinpachi, Heiskue and Okita exclaim loudly, their surprised expressions bringing my anger some reassurance. "Hijikata, we would never allow that to happen. They are our family and family means we stick together," Heisuke adds, a proud fist held to his chest. "Yea,Hijikata, you've nothing to worry about-we will keep them safe," smiles Harada. The men all look at me with a United smile as I calm down.
"Has anyone checked on Chizuru or Lalia?" Saitos word brought a cold sweat to my forehead and a lump to my throat, heart dropping as I realised I hadn't checked in on them. I couldn't move, my feet stuck to the ground, my mind turning hazy as I can see Saitos blurry figure run to the room, his hand flinging it open as his muffled voice shouts, " They aren't here." I hear Heiskue shouting Lalias name frantically as Yamazaki shouts Chizuru, them pausing every few seconds to hear a reply but nothing is answered. Okitas blurry form stands infront of me as I stand by the blossoms, a golden crested envelope in his hand. I open it up frantically and read it.
