The past few days have been amazing. As Chizuru and Lalia have returned and as Chizuru's healing abilities lower dramatically when with child or should I say children, she's been ordered by the stern Yamazaki to not move a single muscle, much to her dismay.
We were all sitting in the eating area at night when Yamazaki entered with hands on his hips and a screwed up facial expression. "Oh to what do we owe this pleasure," slurred Okita as he glanced at the pissed male. He glares at all of us before starting what I assume is an angry rant. "I requested Chizuru to rest in order to aid her baby's health and that of her own and yet what do I come across? Oh just a Chizuru up and about sweeping all of your messes and she wouldn't stop sweeping as she said that you lot wouldn't do it. I'm disgusted, for shame men, for shame!" We all just sit there, heads lowered like little children after being scolded by their parents. "This is my new request," he begins,"I want you all to pick up the slack and leave Chizuru well alone, except Hijikata, as I know if she talks to you men, you all will only become distracted and let her walk about when it's critical she rest."the men look at me, their pitiful faces I save them from their impending doom but instead, I add to their misery. "He's right. Lalia and I will be heading to our home for a day or two to check things over leaving Chizuru in your care. I insist you all follow and y of Yamazakis requests as I trust his medical opinion." At that, I make for bed, leaving them to stir and accept what they have to do. On my way to my room, I check in on the girls. Smiling, I quietly slip in and see Lalia sleeping soundly in her cute miniature bed, a gentle face resting on the little terror. I look to Chizuru and see her curled under the covers tightly as she too bears a gentle face. "You just going to stand there?" Chizuru whispers to me as she lifts the blanket, gesturing me to join her. I lay beside her, taking her into my arms, her feeling so fragile as she slowly drifts back to sleep, her breathing so peaceful I find my self drifting to sleep also.
