Chapter 29

Okitas POV
Hijikata and Lalia left early in the morning to be able to get to their house and be back as soon as possible to stay with Chizuru meanwhile we were left with the pesky, bossy boots Doctor, Yamazaki that was about to meet the tip of my sword if he did not shut up!
"Alright, I've only woke up, could you please save your rants for when I'm awake enough to deal with it?" We had all literally just woken up and yet here's Yamazaki, yapping in about how disgraceful we are, as if we still don't feel bad enough for what he told us about Chizuru yesterday.
Yamazaki continues to glare in each of our directions, a tick mark raising to his forehead as he starts once again. "As Vice Commander has entrusted me within the care of his wife and my orders, I firmly demand that you all leave Chizuru alone. She doesn't need you pestering her." After he said that,I seriously thought I was going to kill him! Heck, Chizuru and I are like best friends, there's no way in hell I'm just going to ignore her all day. "Are you insisting we ignore her?" Heiskue asked, he too seeing the ridiculousness in this, surprising if I must say as he isn't the brightest penny. "Ah, you understand me perfectly," Yamazaku mused as he left the room, probably to pester some other poor soul. As it was Heiskue, Shinpachi, Harada, Saito and I in the room who are all really close with Chizuru, the anger could be cut with a knife. "That's ridiculous! You can't ignore her, she's too cute and small,"Spat Shinpachi who was right, even about the cute and small part. "I agree," continued Saito, "I'm not ignoring her."his face was as usual but his eyes had a certain fire I couldn't help but find amusing. Today's going to be fun...
Chizurus POV
As much as I love Yamazaki with all my heart, I'm going to kill him, in the nicest way of course. Nothing irritates me more than sitting around like a stewing vegetable being lazy.
It's around noon and yet no one has came to visit me today, how weird. Yesterday, the door was practically never closed as everyone came and sat with me throughout the entire day. Heiskue came and sat and told me some crazy story that happened to him whilst on patrol. Okita came, lay down, and fell asleep, quite typical but I loved his company. Shinpachi came with da go and sat beside me, cracking jokes and making me laugh hysterically to the point Kondo came in concerned. Harada also visited me, he sat right next to me, rubbing my shoulders as he told me about him and Shinpachi as kids, so cute! Saito came and visited me also which slightly surprised me but nevertheless I was pleased. He lay down and just held my hand and comforted me with telling me everything's okay now. Today however, not a soul has entered the room. Hmm, I'm investigating this big time.
I quickly get dressed,do my hair and makeup and open the door. I take a few steps out to look for anyone when I hear his voice. "Didn't I say you had to rest, Miss?" I turn to see a Yamazaki with his doctors bag, probably coming to see me. "Love, I cannot sit in that room for another hour okay, I'm taking a walk around." "No you're not!" "Too bad, I'm already away!" I waddle as fast I could with a messed up ankle and an Edo sized bump as I make my way to fix myself something to eat. I enter the eating area as it is around Lunch time to find all the men eating their soup quietly,how strange.
"I was going to bring you your food, Chizuru. You should be in bed," says Saito As he hands me my soup and a stool to sit on instead of the tatami mats as Lord knows if I'd ever get back up of them. "I'll rest when I'm dead," I laugh to which he smirks,"I thought as much, Chizuru." "So why was I not graced with any of your presences today?" They all stop eating their soup and turn to the door, I turning as well as to see Yamazakis outline blocking the sun. "Chizuru Hijikata." Be looks at me as though he'd prefer to eat me rather than the soup. "Have you eaten today Yamazaki? You're getting a little grouchy, like Lalia when she hadn't eaten," I playfully ask causing Hesikue to snigger along with Harada, earning sharp glares from Yamazaki. "If you must feel it necessary to walk about, at least make sure someone's with you," he sighs as he takes his place on the mat. "So no one answered me question as to where you have all been today," I ask again as Yamazaki shifts in his sitting position. "Yamazaki, I hope you didn't say anything," I slowly growl as he fidgets under my look. "Yeah, you tell him Chizuru," Heiskue exclaims loudly m, almost knocking his soup over Shinpachi. "Listen," I begin,"I'm seriously okay, don't make this bunch feel bad because when they feel bad, I feel bad and that ain't fun." The Shinsengumi fellas nod in union to agree with my statement as Yamazaki replies,"I see, I apologise to each of you." "There, see. Happy families!" Shinpachi says causing us to laugh.
He is right, we are just one big happy family!
