Jason's POV

That nightmare was terrible. That voice, it was too real, i could feel the pain he said he would enflict on us every time he spoke. It hurt worse than the time when mum accidently slapped with a frying pan when i had snuck back into the house after going swimming with some of my friends. And that hurt, bad. Even when screaming out in pain, though, the only person i was thinking about was my Ava. She must have been so worried by, i can tell, by the tear stains she is trying so hard to cover up.

I know i just woke up and all, but something just doesnt seem right. The dream may be affecting me, there is a hidden danger im not seeing. Its coming fast too. Faster than i would like it to. "Avalon do you-" I began but her black hair flipped from her eyes and she stared at me as she finished my thought. "Do i think that someone is watching us? Do i think that something bad is coming at us fast? Yes." Her amber eyes flashed, her appearance becoming more tense. She was worried beyond belief and i could tell. What she was worried about though is the thing that made me smile despite our situation. She was worried about me, my mum, her mum, her dad, and our pack. She even was thinking about Jemmy and Henry. Speaking of which i need to contact them. They have been being really quiet lately and usually Jemmy would have called Avalon days ago giggling on about how amazing Henry is or something.

Ava was sitting on the end of the bed watching me with a small smile that brightened up the room immediatly. "Have you heard from Jemmy and Henry lately?" I asked hating the fact that my questiuon took away her smile so she could think. She stuck her tongue out as she thought and then looked back up at me frowning. "No."

The word tossed in the air uncompfortably, knocking against the walls in search of an escape. And like that she shot out of the room in search of her phone. Avalon came back moments later seeming frazzled and scared. "She didnt pick up. Jason, Jemmy always picks up. We need to go see them, please Jason." She pleaded. This wasnt right. I would do anything for Ava but right now she didnt need to go anywhere except stay in this house. It might not be safe outside. "Im sorry Avalon, but we cant go outside right now. Its too dangerous, i dont know what it is, but something is out there. Maybe Jemmy just forgot to charge her phone, you know she does forget a lot of stuff."

I said trying to calm Avalon down. My arms found there way around her small shoulders and she sunk into me hugging my waist. "We have to go help them Jason." Ava whispered against my chest. I nodded but didnt say anything. She was right, but i wont risk Ava's life. She is not going outside this house without my permission. "Ava. You are not going out of this house without my permission, ok?" I asked. She tensed up immediatly and i regretted using such a strong tone."Excuse me, you dont own me Jason. Thanks for your concern but i am going to see Jemmy with. Or. Without you." Her eyes were not amber anymore but a dark red that i knew meant she was more than angry. But so was i. I am the future Alpha. No one, not even the Luna is to disobey the Alpha. Ava shoved me into the bed and looked at me with an intense stare. "Avalon Angel Moore. You are not going outside of this house. I am the future Alpha and your mate and you will respect me. Luna. I love you and i am doing this for your safety." I clamped my hands on her wrists tightly making sure she couldnt move. She struggled against my grip, pulling both of us to the floor. My back exploded in pain when it came into contact with the sharp corner of the bed. I always hated that part.

"Jason! Let me go!" She screamed sounding broken. It broke me. It broke me to know that she was like this because of me. She just doesnt understand why i am doing this. "No Ava, just calm down." I spoke calmly to her, whispering soft sweet words into her ear. She calmed a little, i know, beacause her eyes went back to being amber. "Please dont hate me." I begged still holding onto her wrists.

A sob broke the silence that was beating at my heart this whole time. My eyes flew open and were met by Avalon laying in my arms sobbing, completely giving up leaving this house. "I could-never- h-hate you Jason. I l-love you too." Her shoulders bounced as she leaned further back into me. My hands left her wrists to go around her again. I smiled and kissed her temple. We stayed this way until my mum came into the room just to tell us that lunch was ready. Avalon had shuddered at the thought and her eyes changed to a fiery color. It was only yesterday when she had eaten, i dont see why she was hungry again so early. "We will be down in a minute."
