Chapter 8: Attack of The Lady Manager (pt.2)

Narrator

"She's the daughter of a client that's important to the Otori family. I ask of you to be sure not to do anything impolite." Kyoya says.

"Yeah, no promises." Jax rolls his eyes as Renge begins to speak.

"Everyone, its going to be a pleasure." Renge states and smiles. Jax sighs and ruffles his hair frustratedly.

The next day

All the hosts, including Jax, sat in a circle as they listened to Tamaki speak. "I thought about it all last night and having a lady manager might not be all that bad," He starts.

"Why do you say this?" Hikaru and Kaoru ask.

"Don't you see? She has transferred in to the same class as Haruhi," Tamaki answers as Jax rolls his eyes. "If the two both become friends as girls, Haruhi might become more girlish. The uniquely girlish air of tenderness about her could stimulate Haruhi's own sense of femininity. This is the grand-scale project in order to stir Haruhi up to be more girly! " Tamaki announces.

"Jeez, give it up will ya? How much more obsessed are you going to get with her so-called 'femininity'?" Jax groans as he flips through a random magazine.

"Only having these two disreputable twins and this overly attractive bad boy as close classmates is not good for Haruhi!" Tamaki says as he points at them. Hikaru and Kaoru widen their eyes a bit while Jax continues to flip the pages of the magazine already having been called things like that.

"That's telling us, all right," Hikaru and Kaoru say while raising their eyebrows.

"People! Renge, your host club drawing card, has baked cookies!" Renge opens the door and holds the cookies for the others to see.

"Oooh, how ladylike! I'm so moved!" Tamaki begins to start but is cut off by Renge.

"I didn't bake them for you, you phony prince." She deadpans, making Tamaki wallow in sorrow. "They're a little burnt, but I know what you're going to say, Kyoya-sama!" Renge gushes as she begins to radiate hearts. She begins to envision what he says while Hani nibbles on a cookie.

"You're right, these are burnt." Hani states.

"Mitsukuni, stop. They're bad for you." Mori says. Renge's mood suddenly changes. She begins to freak out and chase Mori and Hani as Hani yells. While this happens, Haruhi eats a cookie.

"They're savory, and not all that bad." Haruhi critics while Hikaru and Kaoru get an idea. Just as Haruhi puts the cookie back in her mouth, Hikaru and Kaoru begin their little act.

While all that happens, Jax begins to get sick of Renge chasing Mori and Hani so he interferes. He waits for Hani and Mori to pass then steps in to the middle of them, stuffing his hands in his pocket and waiting a couple of seconds until Renge runs in to his chest. She looks up as Jax looks down boredly at her, she suddenly begins to blush. "S-sorry, Jax-kun." She stutters shyly as her heart races.

"Tch." Is all that Jax says before walking away. Trying to slow down her heart, she tells herself that she must remain loyal to Kyoya. Then notices the conundrum happening between the twins, Haruhi, and Tamaki. She begins to think but suddenly Hani comes up to her.

"Renge-chan, Renge-chan!" Hani calls for her. "Want some milk?" Hani asks as flowers dance around him.

"Too tepid." Renge mutters then suddenly bursts out, catching the attention of the hosts. "Its all to tepid! Except for Kyoya-sama...and Jax-kun, all of your characters are too lackluster! All of you hosts are lacking a dark side!" She begins to scold. "Girls are vulnerable to handsome young men going through trauma! If you keep carrying on in this manner, everyone is going to get tired of it! Are you trying to ruin Kyoya-sama's precious business!?" She continues and Jax obviously ignores, being the only one sitting down. "As manager, starting today, I'm changing all your character backgrounds! Starting with you!" She says then points at Hani. "If all you are is cute, inside and out, then you're the same as a baby! As such, you are now the cute face that is actually a thug!" She then continues to give each of the hosts a different persona.

"How long is she going to talk for, jeez." Jax groans as he makes his way towards the rest of them.

"Morinozuka-senpai, you're the childhood-friend flunkie! The twins will be basketball players that are shut up in their own world! Haruhi-kun, you're an honor student faced with intense bullying! And Tamaki-san, you're the school idol, esteemed for your looks, but actually you have an inferiority complex...the lonesome prince! Oh, Kyoya-sama you're already perfect! Just stay your usual kind, affectionate self!" Renge ends with cooing at Kyoya.

"I'm honored." Kyoya states kindly.

"And Jax-kun, you're...um great too." Renge mutters shyly but is then interrupted by Tamaki. He has spotlights right on him as he dramatically begins to speak.

"The lonesome prince, indeed that is perfect for me!" Tamaki announces, his voice seeming to echo in an exaggerated manner.

"That's probably the one she got most wrong." Haruhi mutterered, her eyebrow twitching in annoyance.

Hikaru and Kaoru pull Kyoya to them and whisper in his ears. "Kyoya-senpai-do something." Hikaru started and Kaoru ended.

"But his highness seems to be up for it." Kyoya answered back, closing his eyes and pushing his glasses farther along his nose bridge.

"Renge-kun, Renge-kun is this what a lonesome pose would look like?" Tamaki questioned while leaning against the with his eyes closed and face made to look sad.

"My, that's pretty good, Tamaki-san." Renge answered, clasping her hands before her face in awe. "I'm sure it would be even more effective if it were raining."

Hilary, Kaoru, and Haruhi groaned as Jax rolled his eyes knowing this wouldn't end well.

"Well, lets just see how it goes, why don't we? Something interesting will come it, I'll bet." Kyoya says, seeming to read his mind.

"Yeah, let's."
