Jakki's P. O. V
I stood outside, in front of the rose bushes, and waited for Hikaru, Kaoru, and Haruhi. They take forever to get here. Honestly, I've been waiting for at least five minutes! I used to run track, so I'm used quickness. I was also the fastest on the team, maybe that's why everyone feels so slow? I don't know, but I do know that they're slower than the average person. I finally see them full on sprinting through the school doors and towards me. Hikaru and Kaoru were in front of Haruhi by a few feet. Haruhi isn't that...fast. She likes to just walk and relax. I don't know why she's even running anyway. They come to a quick halt beside me and are all out of breath. "Took you guys long enough! Do you guys even do gym here?" I laughed. Hikaru and Kaoru rolled their eyes playfully. They then proceeded to drape their arms on my head. I rolled my eyes and turned my attention towards Haruhi. She was holding on her knees and looked like she was going to puke. I pushed Hikaru and Kaoru's arms off me, they looked annoyed. I made my way towards Haruhi and a water bottle appeared randomly in my hand. Well, that's living in an anime for ya. I opened it and handed it towards her. She grabbed it gratefully and started to gulp it down. I gently grabbed the water bottle and pulled it away from her. "Drink a little slower or you're going to get sick." I instructed and handed it back. She nodded and took smaller sips this time. "Jakki~" Hikaru said in a whiny voice. I turned my head towards them. "You're giving all the attention to Haruhi~" they both whined noisily. I sighed and ruffled their hair. "She was about to puke, bakas." I said gently. I heard the crinkle off a water bottle and turned my head. Haruhi had finished her water bottle. "Thanks, Jakk. I feel a lot better now." She called me by my nickname and smiled. "No problemo!" I smiled as she hugged me. I hugged back and patted her back. Kaoru cleared his throat and pulled me in to his arms possessively. It was like a hug from the back. I laughed and shook my head. "Aren't we supposed to be doing something with the class?" I asked. "No, usually when we go outside it's when the teacher doesn't want to work and let's us wander around." Haruhi sighed. "It's frustrating, honestly. It's his job for God's sake!" She yelled. "It's okay, now we have more time to catch up!" I beamed and patted her back. "True." She smiled back. Note that I was still in Kaoru's arms. I walked towards a gazebo wrapped around with roses. It was pretty. It was kinda hard since Kaoru wouldn't let me go, but he moved to the side of me with his arms still around my shoulders. Hikaru was walking on the other side of me with his hands casually in his pockets. Haruhi was beside him. I gently pushed Kaoru's arms off me and sat on the gazebo floor. I motioned for them to follow and they listened without missing a beat. "Let's all catch up!" I smiled. "Alright, we'll go around and are allowed to ask ten questions each. It can be about anything and you have to answer truthfully." I explained. They nodded in response. "I'll go first." Haruhi said. "Why didn't you tell me about Jax?" She asked. "Well, it never really came up and I never really got to see him much. So, it made me sad." I scratched the back of my neck awkwardly. "You know you can tell me anything." Haruhi said. I nodded. Not everything. "I'm next!" Hikaru said. "Why did you leave us?" Hikaru said. You could hear the sadness in his voice. "I'm sorry, but I had to do it to do my dream. Sure, I had to leave but I'm back and I'll visit everyday. I promise." I said and noticed his attention was averted to the floor. I grabbed his hand and squeezed it comfortingly. He sighed and squeezed my hand back. He didn't let go and I didn't protest. "Aight, it seems I'm next." Kaoru clears his throat. "Aight?" Haruhi questioned. "Yeah, Jax says it." He said. "You don't make it work." Haruhi stated bluntly. Hikaru and I snickered as Kaoru glared at us. We raised our entwined hands up in surrender. "What's that charm bracelet on your wrist?" He asked while pointing at it. "Oh, this? It's something really special of mine." I smiled at Haruhi and she smiled back. She scooted closer and we both presented our bracelets in front of Hikaru and Kaoru. "They're best friend bracelets." We explained. "My color theme is pink and gold." Haruhi said. "Mine is silver and blue/sapphire." I said. Kaoru and Hikaru nodded in response while examining it closely. "What's that one mean, Jakki?" Hikaru asked while pointing at the caged, broken heart. "Nothing, I just thought it was pretty." I lied. Hikaru, Kaoru, and Haruhi looked at me with their eyebrows raised. "It's true!" I fake defended. "You're going to have to tell me the truth sometime." Haruhi sighed. "There's no truth to tell!" I sighed. "Suure~" the twins said in a sing-song voice. I rolled my eyes. "Mah turn!" I yelled and tried thinking of a question. "Hmm...who is The Host Club? Jax told me about them and I was curious." I said. "You'll meet them later..." the twins had an evil glint in their eyes. I shook my head and gestured towards Hikaru with my free hand. "How long have you two been friends?" He pointed back and forth towards Haruhi and I. "Eleven years." "Eleven years!" We both chorused, but she was more cheery. "You beat us just by a year!" Hikaru pointed out. Haruhi gave a sickly sweet smile towards him as he scooted back. I laughed slightly. "Okay, so this question is for Hikaru and Kaoru. What are those necklaces you always wear? I've only seen the chain and have never seen what's on it." Haruhi explains unnecessarily. Hikaru scratches his neck, embarrassedly and Kaoru plays with the chain around his neck. I turn towards them. "Yeah, I want to know too." I say dumbly. They look at me like I grew two heads and facepalms. "What?" I say. What did I do? "We're waiting." Haruhi states boredly. They both simultaneously pull the chains tucked under their shirts and reveal...rings. Not just any rings...our rings! I smiled the biggest smile since I was little. They both held their rings carefully and turned towards me with hopeful face. They both had an unidentifiable glint in their eye. Happiness? Hope? I don't know, but it made them look happier. More young and innocent. I smiled my wide smile and slowly pulled my necklace from my neck, hidden under the neck line of my dress. Their eyes widened and they both launched at me. They attacked me with a hug as I laughed and hugged back. "Sooo, those your friendship necklaces?" Haruhi asked awkwardly. "Yep~" the twins said while getting off of me, but their voices seemed to have a bit more enjoyment in it. I saw, far ahead, our class clambering inside and I started to get up. I dusted my dress. "Come on, the bells about to ring." I said as I heaved Hikaru up with our still entwined hands and dropped his hand. The chill of the wind hit the palm of my hand as I saw Hikaru stuff his hand in his pocket glumly. I grabbed Kaoru's hand with both of mine and pulled him up. I, then, proceeded to pull Haruhi up. I ran out the gazebo towards the school with Hikaru, Kaoru, and Haruhi trailing behind. I hope I survive "meeting The Host Club".
