Chapter 16

Rileys POV

I could only stare, and wonder why Id gotten so lucky.

Her bright smile would make anyone happier, her sparkling eyes were happy, and her blonde hair flowed around her like an angel.

My mate, May.

I felt my stomach clench when I remembered what I had to do.

Today was the day I had to tell her.

I was going to take her on a date, but then she has to know.

There were only six days left until her birthday, until she shifts.

Until she becomes a werewolf.

"Here you go." May snapped me out of my thoughts as she placed a delicious smelling piece of pizza on my plate.

"Wow, you guys made this?" I said as I inhaled it, damn it was good.

My sister snorted from somewhere in the kitchen and May stuck her tongue out.

"Why so surprised?" she countered.

I grinned at her and picked up my now empty plate to put in the sink.

"Well...I just thought I would be the better cook." I threw over my shoulder.

I heard her musical laugh, and turned around to see her with her hands on her hips.

She opened her mouth to reply, but Tommy spoke up for the first time, cutting her off.

"Hey May, are you and my brother getting married?" he asked innocently.

Emma spit out her water and burst into a fit of laughter, tears rolling down her face. Mays face turned beet red, and she started stammering.

"Why, of course." I declared, trying to keep the smile off of my face.

Emma laughed harder, and May turned even more red, if that was even possible.

"Can I come to the wedding?" Tommy asked excitedly.

"Sure, kid. Why not." I grinned at him.

"I- Cant- Breathe." Emma cried in between fits of laughter.

We all started laughing then, even little Tommy who had no idea what the hell was going on.

Emma finally got up off the ground and wiped her tears of laughter away.

"Alright May, time to get ready for your date."

Mays POV

I dug my heels into the carpet as Emma dragged me up the stairs.

"Is this really necessary? I mean I can easily get ready myself."

Emma snorted and threw me into the bathroom.

"Shower." she ordered.

The next hour consisted of me being shaven, waxed, dressed, and Emma putting my make up on.

"Emma, this is taking forever." I whined, looking up as she applied mascara.

She rolled her eyes.

"Im done, you baby. Now open those pretty little eyes and take a look."

I sighed, but opened my eyes.

Emma had made me look like a completely different person twice in a week.

I was wearing a soft pink summer dress that was cinched at the waist, it look surprisingly good. It ended mid thigh, my legs looked long and tan. My hair was perfectly straight, and my eyes looked bright amd pretty with the light but gorgeous make up that Emma had applied.

"Wow, Emma. How the hell do you manage to keep surprising me?" I muttered in shock, twirling around.

She giggled and hugged my tightly.

"Just have fun on your date ok?"

Rileys POV

My mouth gaped open like a fish when she walked down the stairs.

My nerves about telling May about werewolves tonight, my fear that she would hate me, all melted away when I saw her.

She was radiant and gorgeous, her rose scent saturated the whole room. I had to bite my lip from moaning. She was intoxicating.

She walked forward with a grin, and put her arms around my neck. I pulled her close and kissed her head, I knew if I kissed her lips I wouldnt be able to stop.

"You look absolutely gorgeous, as always." I whispered in her ear.

"You look as handsome as always." she whispered back.

"Awww Im gonna cry!"

We both pulled apart when we heard Emma, coming down the stairs with Tommy.

Emma hugged us both, as well as Tommy, and then she shooed us out the door.

Time for the perfect first date.
