Stitches

Chad met us in her driveway and helped me out of the car.

He led me to their garage. Their mom was home and I didn't really want her to worry about me so we just avoided her.

He sat me down on a stool and turned on the light. It was pitch black out. Must have been like 9 or 10.

"Your dad did this to you?" He asked, looking at it.

"Yes." Chloe responded for me.

"It's gonna need stitches Trinaty." He said, taking out a needle.

We've done this twice before, both times Chad gave them to me. But they were never as bad as this one

He took my arm and started stitching up the wound.

I gritted my teeth and tried not to scream. It definetly was not a good experience

"Done." He said finally "now who's gonna tell me the reason for it this time?"

"He found the messages I sent to Dallas."
"He wants us to break up."

"Then break up with him Trinaty, you could have so much better then him." Chad had always had a crush on me. I knew that because he asked me out in 8th grade. Like I said, he has always been like a brother to me, and it would just be weird dating your brother.

"I can't." I said quietly

"And why can't you?" He asked, crossing his arms

"He's my baby's father." I said even quieter

"What?! That fucking son of a bitch had sex with you?!" He yelled

"Chad keep it down! And calm down." Chloe said grabbing his shoulders and sitting him back down.

"I'm sorry." He said finally.

"It's ok. It's not your fault for getting mad. It was a stupid mistake."

He came over and rapped his arms around me. Chad gave the best hugs

"So what are you going to do." He said staring at me.

"I honestly don't know."

"You have to go to the doctors soon don't you? You know, to make sure the baby's okay and stuff"

"Um yeah, I guess I should."

"When do you want to go?" Chloe asked, stepping into the conversation.

"Soon." I responded, staring at the floor.

"Do you want to spend the night?" Chloe asked me.

"Yeah." I responded.

Chloe walked out of the garage. "Coming?" She asked me.

"Yeah I'll catch up in a minute."

As soon as she left I walked over to Chad, who was cleaning up the needles and wrappers.

"Thanks again Chad." I said.

"Yeah." He responded, throwing something away.

I went up to him and gave him a kiss, I don't know why, I wasn't really thinking. I walked away and caught up with Chloe it the kitchen who was talking to her mom.

"Hi." I said, trying my best to hide my arm behind my back.

"Hi Trinaty." She said, and gave me a hug

Chloe and I walked to her room and she gave me a pair of pjs to change into.

"Dinner time!" Her mom shouted from downstairs.

One thing I liked about Chloe's family is that they all eat together.

We walked down stairs and I found Chad sitting at the end of the table. He looked up at me and blushed. He was so cute
