"I haven't been there for you as much as I should of"
He admitted.

I looked up, somewhat speechless, I was also shocked at what I saw as I looked him in the eyes

Tears

The man that could break his daughters arm and not shed a tear, is crying now?

Before I could say anything else, he gently grabbed my arm, the one that he slashed with a knife a month ago. Chad had removed the stitch a couple weeks ago but a huge scar still remained, a scar thaI tried my best to cover at all costs.

He lifted my arm and kissed my scar.

"Dad. A-are you drunk?" I asked, starting to cry.

"No." He replied, quietly. "Twenty four days clean."
He stated, looking up
"I'm done messing up Trinaty. I screwed up your childhood and you have every right to hate me, but I'm asking for your forgiveness."

I was absouloutly speechless. I wanted to forgive him so bad, but i didn't know if I could bring myself to do so. Saying he screwed up my childhood was a understatement, he fucked it up. I practically had to raise myself

"Please Trinaty." He begged.

"Yeah." I said quietly. "I forgive you." I said, wiping away tears. "But there is no way that I'm going to forget the hell you put me through."

"I understand." He said, staring at his shoes.

"I want to be there for you, especially now." He said, gesturing towards my stomach.

Out of the blue Chad came into the room."it's a girl." He stated, coming over to put his arm around me.

My dad looked down and smiled. "So you're keeping it?" He asked.

"Of course." I said

"So where's Dallas?" He asked

Too soon dad.

"Um. He's not here." I said looking down at the floor. Chads grip on my shoulder tightened.

"I'm taking his place." Said Chad, kissing the top of my head.

"That's takes guts kid." Dad said, placing his hand on Chads shoulder.

"I love your daughter sir." He stated.

I thought about it deep down inside me, I always knew that Chad loved me. But hearing him say it, caught me completely of guard.

"You're a good kid Chad." My dad smiled. "This is gonna be one lucky baby, to have you two as her parents."

"What baby?" Chads mom walked into the room out of no where, grocery bags in hand.

Oh man.

We kind of just stood there in silence.

"What's going on, Trinaty why is your dad here? Someone talk to me!" She demanded.

"Trinatys pregnant." Chloe stated, like it was nothing.
