My mind was in a trillion different places and all I wanted to do was wake up from this nightmare.

"Are you ok?" She asked, wiping a tear from my cheek.

"I... Haven't seen you in 12 years." I whispered.

"I know." She said, looking down. "I've changed though." She reassured me.

"You left." I blurted out.

"I'm sorry." She said, trying to hug me.

"Don't." I said, jerking back.

I walked through the doors and turned the corner. Chad was standing at the information desk, arguing with the lady.

He turned around and ran his hand through his hair, he looked up and caught my eye.

"Trinaty." He smiled, walking closer to me. The smile quickly faded when he got closer to my tear filled eyes.

I immediately ran over to him. If there was anyone that could make me feel better right now, it would be Chad.

He caught me in a big hug and we stayed like that, hugging in the hospital waiting room, for the longest time. He finally let go

"So what's wrong with him?" He asked finally.

"Life support." I said, dabbing my eyes with my sweater

He gave me another hug.

"I have to let him go." I sobbed into his jacket.

"When?" He asked.

"Now." I replied.

Chad managed to convince the secretary to let him go back with me.

We walked, hand in hand back to the room that I swore I would never go into again.

I dropped his hand and stood by my dads side.

I kissed his cheek and the tears fell.

"I love you daddy." I whispered

I backed back up to Chad, who was now letting the tears fall down his face.

He put his arm around me and I gave a nod to the doctor.

Within a flick of a button. The line went flat, and my dad was gone forever.
