I let out a small gasp as I peered over the nearly lifeless body of a man with similar characteristics as my dad.

This can't be my dad. I thought

This man was covered from head to toe in cords, bandages and tubes.

I covered my mouth with my hands to keep me from screaming as I forced myself to go closer to the body.

I stopped when I reached the face. The face that I was dreading to see. My dads.

An oxygen mask was plastered to his face and he looked like someone was stabbing him with knives.

Just then, there was a knock on the door and a man who appeared to be in his thirties opened it.

"You must be Trinaty." He said, sorely.

I didn't get a chance to respond, I was speechless.

"I know that this is all very overwhelming for you."

"What happened." I managed to get out before tears started flooding down both of my cheeks.

"He um. Was in a accident." He said. "Drinking and driving." He said, like he's known me all my life. "But your dad is in critical condition, and he's on life support."

I let out a gasp as I glanced back at the person who was alive and healthy less then eight hours ago.

"We can keep him on it." He continued, glancing at the floor. "But it's only temporary."

"S-so you're asking me to let him die?" I asked, staring him cold in the eyes.

"I'm just giving you options." He said, fixing his hair.

"I-I need a minute." I said, exiting the room.

I walked down the hall and stared to exit the emergency room when a woman called my name

"Trinaty!" She yelled, trying to get my attention.

I turned around, tears spilling out of my eyes, it was a voice that was somewhat familiar.

"Trinaty." She said, running towards me.

"Do I know you?" I whispered. The words kind of escaping my lips.

She slowly started walking towards me when I said that

"You don't know who I am?" She looked hurt.

"No." I said, staring into her eyes. There was something about the strange Aqua-blue color that gave it away.

"Your y-your my-" I started.

"Mom."
