Chapter Seven (started 1/18/2022)

Lennox walked around the house still holding the red velvet cupcake while Sebastian turned on the lights and further in the house. He headed over to the couch and and peeled off the wrapper of the cupcake before finally eating it nervously. He folded the wrapper and placed it in his pocket when he remembered he felt his phone. He took it out and saw that he had a text message and missed call from Declan that he didn't see earlier.

(1 Missed Call)

Declan : Came by to see you but I guess you're out. Maybe we could watch True Crime: Twisted Passions tomorrow night? :-D

He smiled at the message it Declan was referring to a show they loved to watch of Friday nights about couples that either killed each other or killed together. They had made a habit of watching it every week for the last few weeks when there wasn't anything else on television and Tonya worked late. Even with everything that had occurred it still held up and it was honestly something Lennox looked forward to because it was like everything was back to normal. Just two best friends being close no emotions, no confusion or conflicting messages. He typed up his response and sent it before laying his phone down on the coffee table and went back to waiting for Sebastian to come back.

Lennox : Yeah I'm out at the moment. I would love that, I'm so excited for the next episode! :-)

In actuality he was more excited to see his friend but he was anxious seeing he was now with the one person Declan didn't want him spending time with and that he had conflicting feelings regarding both men. Before he could dwell again on those feelings Sebastian came out from behind him which startled him. He smiled nervously as Sebastian down next with two glasses of wine. After being handed one he waited, his fingernails tapped on the glass randomly.

"You okay?" Sebastian's voice didn't help matters. It sent shivers down him but also scared him and he wasn't sure what to make of it.

"Y-yeah? Just thinking."

"What about?"

"Nothing in particular. So how have you been?" he tried to change the subject so the attention wasn't on him.

"I've been better. Mostly just looking for a way to make it up to you. I want to apologize for hitting you, that was completely out of character for me. I'm just not use to having someone want to know about me or my past, someone who cares."

"I'm sorry for prying."

"No, you don't have to apologize. You did nothing wrong, Lennox. And I promise it will never happen again. I just hope one day you're able to forgive me."

Not sure what to say he nodded his head and smiled weakly before taking a sip of his wine. Just then his phone went off at lit up with another notification from Declan.

Declan : I'm so excited too. Can't wait to see you!

"Is that him?!" Sebastian asked, there was a growl to his voice and he looked rather agitated. He knew that he was referring to the guy he fooled around with some weeks ago.

"Yes," Lennox said barely above a whisper. He didn't know how he would react. He did confide in Sebastian about Declan but he didn't tell him how close they'd become again or that they had history.
