"What's your star sign?"

"Taurus." The girl said, giving me a questioning look.

"Dammit." I mumbled and walked away, moving to the next set of girls.

"Star sign?" I asked quickly, and the short, blonde girl responded after hesitating.

"Gemini." As she said that, I made a mental note that I can't trust that bitch.  I walked away quickly, and I wanted to punch a wall.

My zodiac update website said today I was going to meet the love of my life, and the Pisces update said the same thing. So obviously, Cancer and Pisces were soul mates. But I haven't found a Pisces yet.

I walked into a tiny girl with dark brown hair.

"I'm sorry." I mumbled, helping her up.

"Do you know a Pisces?" I asked, and she brushed herself off.

"Yeah actually-" She started, but I wasn't paying attention. My eyes darted over to Lacey Michelle, my crush ever since the 8th grade.

"Yeah, thanks." I cut her off before rushing to Lacey.

"Hey Lacey." I said breathlessly, and she raised an eyebrow. She was cute when she gave me a doubtful look.

"What's your star sign?" I asked, and she opened her locker and got out her books before answering me.

"Pisces." She told me, and my heart leapt out of my chest. Lacey and I were meant to be together. Thezodiachoeknows.com was never wrong. The stars wanted us to be together, obviously.

"That's cool. Wanna make out?" I asked, grinning like an idiot.

"How many times have we had this conversation, Ashton? I have a boyfriend." She told me, turning around. I followed her and took her books, because I'm a gentlemen.

"But I'm a cancer." I told her and she rolled her eyes.

"And that means I should make out with you?" She asked, and I nodded.

"The heavens have spoken, Lacey. Don't you check your star sign updates?" I asked in awe. Didn't everyone want to know what was in their future?

"No, but I'm glad to know you do that for me." She told me. Then and there, I promised to do everything in my power to make Lacey fall in love with me. It was bound to happen, zodiac hasn't failed me yet. Everything on there is so relatable!

She honestly was probably already in love with me, just playing hard to get. I was okay with that, I like games. I handed her the books as we approached her first period class.

"Isn't my boyfriend a cancer, anyway?" She asked, and I grinned.

"You're admitting it?"

"No, dumbass. I meant Luke." She said, rolling her eyes.

"Oh. No, he doesn't count. Because I'm the better cancer." I told her matter-of-factly, and she shrugged before walking into her classroom. Man, she was adorable when she didn't believe me.
