"I don't know, Margret. I'm out of ideas." I sighed, playing with one of the bracelets on display.
She looked at me from behind the counter, drumming her fingers on the glass.
"Why don't you take her out to a nice dinner?" She suggested before turning her attention to a customer.
"How would I get her there? She wouldn't go if I asked her."
"Leave an anonymous note." She told me before walking away with the costumer.

I slid the note in Lacey's locker casually before getting down and rolling out the hallway.I've been told I have some ninja qualities.
I stood up and brushed myself off, feeling pretty cool.
"Hey, Ashley!" I heard, and I froze.
"It's Ashton." I said, turning around and looking up to the the famous Luke Hemmings. The star quarterback, the most "attractive" guy in school. Besides me, of course.
"Whatever, Asher. What did you just put in Lacey's locker?" He asked me, and I put my hands in my pocket in hopes he didn't see them shaking.
"We have a project together. Those were just some notes." I shrugged, but he didn't believe me. The tall boy took my collar and wrapped the material around his shirt, pulling me up.
"You're lying." He grumbled, and I shook my head quickly.
"Put him down, dumbo. You're a noodle, don't act tough." I heard a voice yell, and relief flooded through me. Luke put me down slowly, and turned around.
"Make me, Clifford." The tall boy said, looking down at Michael.
"That's what your mum said last night." Michael said, and I mentally face palmed.
"You're an idiot." Luke grumbled before turning back around to me.
"You got lucky, Ashlyn. The big red dog and the Asian kid won't be here next time." He told me, and Michael grinned in victory.
"I'm not Asian." Calum grumbled.
