I watch as everyone loads into the helicopter. Me and Josh are the last ones outside. He reaches out his hand.
"I'm sorry Claire, I never meant to hurt anyone. I was just so angry... For my sisters... For your best friends... For myself. Please come with us, your the only thing that keeps me sane. Please, I NEED you. I need YOU!" I look back. What if others come up here. I know how to defend myself against other Wendigos, fire. I look back at Josh.
Josh needs me to help him through this, he loves me, and I clearly love him. I take his hand and he smiles widely.
"I love you." He whispers, kissing my forehead.
"I love you too." I muffle into his chest as I climb into the helicopter.
"You be grateful to my sister, if it weren't for her you'd be stuck on this piece of shit mountain." Mike says.
"Mike!!" I slap his shoulder and rest my head on Josh's shoulder. This is gonna be a long ride.
