You stand in the bathroom, leaning against the counter. The excitement is unreal. You smile into the mirror and run down the hall.
"JOSH, JOSH, COME HERE BABE!!" You shout through the house. He walks inside from the garage.
"What's up, Buttercup?" He smiles, placing a kiss on your forehead. You smile widely and hand him the pregnancy test.
"And, it's... My baby?" He smiles a little as you nod. He stands up and hugs you, pulling you into a warm embrace. This is the one place you truly feel safe, in his arms.
"Josh, thank you for everything, I love you, and I'm sure this baby will grow up with a loving family." You say, a toothless smile pasted onto your face.
*Couple Months Later*
"I'm sorry, Mr and Mrs. Washington, you have lost your baby..." You feel the tears welling up in your eyes. You look at Josh, his head in his hands.
"J-Josh..."
"I'm so sorry, Claire. It's my fault... I Sh-"
"Hold on, there is a twin, that is still living..." The doctor interrupts. Your eyes widen and you smirk, hoping that this baby stays with you.
