Hi, if you are new to this story, then please let me inform you: this story was started in 2015 and under the guidance of only one book and my overactive imagination. The results aren't good (check the apolagies chapter at the end if you wanna see it for yourself, a list of all the bad things I noticed recently about this book) and therefore I am currently rewriting this, hopefully making it a lot better. Still, I'm letting this stay here for a while for people to have a slight notion of what I tried to achieve those years ago and what I'm gonna improve on now. Leave your feedback if you want, it means the world to me, and hum...happy reading? *dies of cringe*

I stared.
"W-what?" I asked quietly, a little bit confused.
"How did you ended up here?" He asked again, with a threatening look.
So, no torture, killing or evil methods used?

"I c-can't give you an answer." I said, looking at my watch and clicking on a particular order of the buttons without them noticing.

The top of the watch made a clicking sound, and it went up, falling then to the floor, making every head turn. I forgot that it did that!

The boys all backed away from it, which gave me a little time.

"W-what are you doing?!"
"Is that a bomb?!"
"Stop it! Are you crazy?!"
I took out one of the very small bottles and opened it quickly. The one for the voice, the blue one.

I popped one drop in my mouth quick enough for anyone to have time to stop me, but the bootle went flying the second the liquid hitted my throath. Somebody had slapped my hand. It was problably Gally, once that he was the one standing closer to me.

I began to cough a lot after that.
There was a part where I felt my troath close, I even dropped to the floor, once that the coughing was cutting my breathing.
"What is happening?!"
""What are you doing!"
"Is she dying?!"
"Where is Jeff when you need him!"

After it stoped, I just stood on the ground, panting desperately.

Someone just grabbed my shoulders and pushed me back on the chair, while I struggled with them, but to no avail. They are all stronger than me?

"What are you doing! I don't have time for nonsenses! Tell us!" Alby asked.
I shook my head.
"You can't talk?"
I nodded.
"Stop with the dumbness, it won't save you."
I didn't do anything. It was useless right now,

"I will make you talk!"
I looked up to see Gally trowing his hands to my neck.
"Gally! Stop! Gally!" Some people shouted.
I was trying yo get his hands off, while the others were trying to get Gally away but he wouldn't move.
"Try to talk now! Not even a begging sound? No?!"
My head felt like it was gonna explode. I guess my breathing was having a bad day.
Gally was staring at me, eyebrows twisted, face red with the anger.

And of a sudden, someone punched him square in the face.
"What bloody hell are you doing?!" A blonde boy replied, looking at him while he sat on the floor, whiping some blood out of his mouth.
"Trying to get some answers." He glared, spitting on the floor, leaving a disgusting red mark on the floor.

Reminding myself to not step on that thing...

"That's not how we do it aroumd here, you know that already!" The blonde boy scolded Gally.

"Yeah, but your way doesn't work very well, does it?"

"I get it, you were right, she might know stuff, but we don't need to bloody kill her!"

Gally got up and made his ways towards the other boy, and soon they were pushing eachother.

They were all busy staring at them. or so I though.

I looked at the door. It wasn't far from my seat. The people that were helding me were no longer there, they were trying to stop the others from fighting eachother. Alby was trying too, watching as they tried to punch eachother and tried to free themselves to keep on where they left it, screaming at them that they weren't kids and that they had to stop.

I took my chance and sprinted out of the house, everybody quickly getting their atentions back on me.
But I was alredy flying my way out.

In the Glade, all heads were pointed at me, and I knew that soon they could come after me too.
Where to go?

I wasn't really good at running, but I was trying to put some effort on my running today, so that I wouldn't be caught.
I ran into some kind of woods.
The path was clear but it was very dark. I heard them running behind me, still a little far.

I turned left and rushed up a big tree with a lot of branches. I always liked to climb up trees. I mean, the idea of climbing up trees.
And then, I waited.

Quick enough, they passed the tree and some stopped.
"Where is she?" An african looking boy said.
"I dunno. She just...disapeared." Some other guy said.
The first guy sighed.

"Fine. Just keep looking."
And with that, they were gone.
I didn't move. I was scared, I couldn't talk and I felt like I couldn't move.

I felt like crying.
When would Ava send anyone to get me out of here? Did she even realised that I was missing?
It was daytime, wich was bad for me, once that I only worked at night.

I had to do something.
I got down.
Silence.

I walked away from that place, getting further and further from it.
I needed a knive or some scissors and some clothes.
If I wanted to get out of here, I had to bend in first without getting much attention.
I found the wall near the woods and walked along it.
Getting again to the Glade, I looked around.
There was a kitchen, and that was where I had to go.
I moved slowly to the kitchen, looking out for curious eyes or people looking for me.

After some guys moved out of the way, I run to the small place, opnening drawers and looking for any of them. Luckely, I found a very old and rusty pair of scissors.
I had no mirror, do I used the oven door to see my reflexion, so that I could try to cut my hair propraly. I cutted it a little above shoulder lenght, maybe a little too much, because it made me feel like an idiot.
There was hair everywhere. I dediced to try to clean it with my hands, once that there were no brooms to be seen, and I trew it outside of a small window that the kitchen had. I then putted the scissors on my back pocket.

I felt bad, that was my hair!
Anyway, now the clothes.

Where would I find clothes? I had no idea.
I looked at my own clothes. They were basacly a plain grey shirt and some blue jeans.

Ok, that was aceptable, I had no time to waist, I had to get out of here.

I moved outside. The people that were in the woods had came out.
So, basically, my plan was blowed up because of my horrible timing.
Screw me.
I still had to try. I tryed my best to hide my face and moved into the area, keeping myself in the shadows. I grabbed a handful of dirt, placing it in my shirt to seem like I had been working.

"Did you found her?"
"Where is she?"
"Anything?"
Voices all over where talking about me and still, there I was, getting away with the situacion. Or at least trying to.

I noticed that Jul was already there. So I could just get it and get out or just run for it.
Of course that the pet Griever won over the other option.
I slipped trough the crowd and tryed to get close to it, still impressed with the fact that no one noticed me yet.
The machine was pretty much torned apart. The metal was scrapped, some pieces of it even missing and some wires were popping out of one of its legs.

After reaching it, I tried to turn it on. It worked, Jul was on.
But my happy thoughs soon were dismissed.
The Griever sudenly began to move uncontrolably and letting out some raspy noises.
I fell back, once that it hitted me on my left side. I curled up in a ball, my hands covering my head and my knees to my chest, when it almost fell on top of me. I opened my mouth, screams threatning to flow out.

Nothing. Not even the smallest sound. I was almost convinced that it would never come back.
But it missed me by inchs, and made a big thud.
In other words, it got the whole Glade attention.

And I just stood there, curled up on the dusty ground, tears of fear rolling down without I even realising.

My plans to escape had failled miserably.
