Ch.8 Locked in

Riley and Lucas zoomed through the streets with a black van behind them.

"Lucas they're after us!" Riley gasped.

"Just hang on!" he said "This could get crazy".

Riley hung onto him  and they turned around a corner, but the van was still coming behind them.

"Riley" Lucas said "I just realized something, the man said that they needed to go to the Hotel Mondial to exchange the painting".

"Yeah so?" Riley asked.

"I just realized that that's our hotel!"

"The hotel we're staying at?!"

"Yeah!"

"Oh my God! What do we do?!"

"Well we can't hide there, but until we think of something, we have to get rid of the van that's after us".

He then pushed the gas harder and they sped up a bit. Riley turned around and saw the van behind them, she looked into the driver's eye and a chill went down her spine. This was not how she wanted to end the day like. As they drove pass some cars, Riley started to think about Maya and Farkle, she was worried about where they were and what was happening to them, she was scared she might never see them again.

"Riley hang on tight!" Lucas yelled as he made a sharp turn around a corner.

Riley almost slid off her seat, but she held onto Lucas tight as they continued riding away from the van. All of a sudden a loud gunshot was heard, Riley turned around and saw that the man in the passenger seat held a gun out the window and was shooting at them.

"Lucas they're shooting at us!" she gasped.

"Oh man!" Lucas yelled as he turned around a corner.

All of a sudden another van blocked their path, Lucas saw that there was no other way to go, he tried to turn around but the other van blocked their path, they were now stuck between the vans, they knew that they were out of luck. The vans stopped as some men got out and headed towards them.

"Lucas" Riley said with a scared look.

"Just stay calm" he said.

"So" one of the men said "You little twits heard everything we said eh?"

"Just enough to hear that you've got our friends" Lucas scowled.

"Oh your friends are Maya and, what was that weird kids name?"

"I think it was Farkle" another man said.

"Oh that's right" the man chuckled "What kind of a name is Farkle?"

"I was thinking the same thing when I first met him" Lucas said.

"Really?" Riley asked.

"Well now that you've heard everything" the man said "I'm afraid you two will have to come with us".

"Look sir" Lucas said with confidence "Can you just give us back our friends and we wont call the police?"

The man chuckled "You really think we'd believe that?" he then turned to the rest of the men "Put them in the van".

"No please!" Riley begged as the men pulled them off the motorcycle and towards the van.

Riley and Lucas were forced into the van as the men got in and closed the door and the van drove off. Riley clutched Lucas's arm as they were both scared at what might happen next. Soon they arrived at the Hotel Mandial where the van drove to the back and parked there. The men pulled Riley and Lucas out and were escorted inside where they were thrown into a large closet and the door was locked behind them. They tried to get out but the door was locked tight.

"Welcome to the club" they heard Maya say as they turned around and saw Maya and Farkle sitting on the floor in their costumes.

"Maya! Farkle!" Riley and Lucas gasped.

"I thought you guys were dead!" Riley said.

"Well I'm pretty sure we wont be for long" Farkle said "Who knows what they'll do to us now that we know their secret".

"We so worried about you guys" Riley said.

"Yeah how did you guys get caught?" Lucas asked.

"Well to make a long story short" Maya said "My purse got switched with another purse filled with stolen money, Farkle and I got chased by the boss and we lost him, but then we saw him again so we had to wear these stupid costumes so we could blend in but it didn't work and we got chased by him again so I had to wear this stupid Marie Antoinette costume as we rode down the streets-".

"That was you guys?!" Riley and Lucas gasped.

"Anyway" Maya continued "We were then blocked by a van and then we crashed into some trash cans and then some of the men pulled us into the van and here we are now".

"How did you guys get caught?" Farkle asked.

"We were at the Louvre Museum when we overheard them talking about their plan and that they had you guys" Riley said.

"Aww you guys went to the Louvre Museum?!" Maya whined "Lucky!"

"Well it wasn't so lucky for us cause we were caught eavesdropping and we got chased but then we were caught and here we are now" Lucas added.

"And now that we're here, how are we gonna get out?" Riley asked with a worried look.

"We tried to find a way to get out" Farkle said "But it's no use".

"And to make matters worse" Maya added "I'm in a Marie Antoinette costume with no cake to eat!"

"Why don't you just take off the costume?" Lucas asked.

"I tried, but the zipper's stuck, can you try to unzip it?"

Maya turned around and Riley tried to pull down the zipper, but it wouldn't budge.

"Sorry Maya I can't" she said.

"Let me try" Lucas said as he gripped the back of the dress and teared open the zipper.

"Oh my God!" Maya gasped in relief "Thanks Huckleberry".

She then pulled the dress down and took it off. It was a good thing she still had her clothes on underneath the dress.

"Much better".

"But we still can't get out" Riley said "Did you guys try to call fro help?"

"We can't" Farkle said "They took our phones away".

Riley and Lucas gave a sigh "Ours too".

"So now what do we do?" Maya asked with a worried look "If we can't get out who knows what will happen to us".

"Anyone got any ideas?" Riley asked, they all shook their heads "Then I guess we're out of luck unless someone finds us".
