**Y/B/F/N= your best friends name if ya didn't know**

Your best friend,Y/B/F/N,was hosting a party for the last day of school. There were about four hours left until the part, but she wanted to start getting ready now. It didn't make any sense to you, but you went along with it anyways.

You planned on wearing jeans and a t-shirt, but once she saw it...it looked like she was going to faint. You laughed, wondering what was wrong with it.

"Y/N honey...you are not wearing that for the party" you pouted. What was wrong with jeans and a t-shirt?

"Why not?" you asked.

"Let's just say I'm inviting some one very special...to you." She winked in a joking matter.

You were horrified, she was going to invite Thomas! Your crush since the third grade. Seeing as if Y/B/F/N saw that you realized what she meant, she laughed until tears were pouring.

"You invited him, didn't you?" you asked, while she smirked.

"You didn't think I wouldn't invite my best friend's boyfriend to this party...did you?" She asked innocently, but she kept smirking. It only made you want to laugh.

"He is not my boyfriend" you stated, trying not to show any emotion-but failing. You felt the blush creeping up your cheeks.

--Time Skip--

People were already showing up at your friend's house an hour before the party started. So your friend just started playing the music. Parties were never your thing, you would prefer to be in a corner reading fanfic or a book.

You decided to enjoy yourself and just talk to your other friends from school, because your best friend was dancing with her boyfriend.

The door bell rung, but your best friend was still dancing with her boyfriend. So, taking her place, you went to get the door.

There he stood. You were dumbfounded for a moment. The only thing that stopped you from staring at him, was him waving his hand.

You smiled and moved aside so he could walk in. When he walked in, his hand brushed yours. It felt like waves going through your body.

You thought he sensed it too, since he jumped back a bit and turned red, but you brushed it off. He went to talk to your best friend. You were disappointed, he probably liked her-not you. Taken girls were more desirable. You stalked off to her couch and went on your phone. You felt a lump in the couch and probably thought it was someone who was going to pass out.

You felt a tap on your shoulder, you ignored it. Then it happened again, and you ignored it until it was happening for three more minutes. You looked up and there was Thomas. He smiled.

"Well you finally look up from that thing." he said, referring to your phone.

You smiled and put it in your pocket.

"What are you doing here when there is a party all around you?" he asked.

"Parties aren't my thing...I don't really see the purpose." You simply replied, shrugging your shoulders.

"I see," he stared at you, his eyes never leaving yours, "well I'm staying with you then."

You screamed internally. He grabbed your hand, and you felt your heart beat about a thousand times per second. He pulled you up and started taking you to the dance floor. You stopped immediately and glared at him. He pouted instantly but then nodded his head and led you away from the crowd.

The two of you ended up in the kitchen and you gave him a confused look. He went through your friends cabinets and brought out a big bag of chips.

"Let's play twenty questions." He stated.

"Okay."

"A different version, one where you have to ask me questions about yourself and I ha e to know the answer to them."

"Well then," you said in a peppy voice, "okay!"

He smirked, and you felt your insides melt.

"What is my favorite thing to wear?" you asked. Thomas bit his lip, trying to think of an answer. His face suddenly brightened up.

"You my beautiful Y/N like to wear jeans and a t-shirt."

Your jaw dropped. He called you beautiful. He came closer to you, instantly you scooted closer to him. He then came closer again, for the second time you scooted a bit closer. Your mind was screaming to get back, but your body had other plans.

Eventually the two of you got close bought to where you could lean forward and kiss him. He linked both of your hands in his. You looked up to see him. He was already staring at you. You felt his breath hit on your skin, causing the tiny hairs to prickle. He removed one of his hands from yours and put it on your waist, pulling you closer.

The both of you started to lean in, until you head the bag of chips fell. You both jumped back. You looked to see who the person was, ready to strike. It was your best friend.

"Uh...I'm sorry. I'll go now." she stuttered, you knew she was sorry. Once she left you looked at Thomas. He was running the back of his neck nervously. You walked closer to him. He took a step back.

"I'm sorry if you didn't want to do that. I just, your just..." He sighed, "your amazing."
You beamed. Before you got a chance to say anything, he walked out of the kitchen. About one minute later you walked out, looking for him. You couldn't find him among the crowd of people. You weaved through a crowd of mostly drunk dancers. Bumping into people occasionally. After ten minutes of looking, you have up and went outside.

You saw his car. He was in it. You ran to the car and tapped on his window. He looked stunned for a moment then motioned for you to sit down in the passengers seat. You got in and closed the door behind you. You looked to him, but he was staring at his feet.

Breaking the silence you said, "I think your amazing too, I'm sorry I didn't tell you soon enough."

Thomas looked to you and smiled. He reached for your hand, and you gladly have it to him. He rubbed his thumb in a circle motion over your hand.

Thomas turned on the engine and you laid your head back on the head rest. Once you saw he was taking you to the beach, you jumped in your seat.

Once you were there, you instantly ran for the water. Kicking and splashing, you were happy. Thomas came up and wrapped his arms around your waist and twirled you. Water occasionally splashing your face.

At the end of the day, Thomas turned you so you could face him, and he kissed you. It was a soft and gentle kiss, but it felt like fireworks were exploding in you. He pulled away biting his lip. He spoke to you in a soft voice,

"I can't believe it took me a whole school year to do that."

You smiled as the both of you walked to his car hand in hand.
