I looked down at CC.
"Are you high man?" I asked.
"What? No!! I'm being honest! Your eyes were glowing red! Like they were on fire! It was scary dude!! Especially when you smacked my freaking face. That hurt, like, hurt."

I looked at his face where I slapped him. It was slightly reddened, like he had been burned.
I looked from the mark to my hand.
My hand was normal.
Hmmm.

"What in the name of garlic pasta sauce is going on here?!"
I looked up.
Andy.
I looked at CC and realised that I was still on top of him.
Ugh, it must look so weird.

"I tackled CC because he was being a rude bitch. And he was raiding the fridge." I explained to Andy.
"Yeah," CC butted in, "but she slapped me, and it was NOT a normal hit. It's like she freaking burned me, it still stings! Look man!"
CC got up and walked over to Andy, who looked confused.
CC pointed to the slap mark on his cheek.

"Huh." Was all that Andy said.

"And her eyes were glowing freaking red before she slapped me!" CC exclaimed.

"Huh." Andy said again.

"Ugh dude, you're no help. I'm leaving," CC thought for a second, then walked over to the fridge, "I'm leaving with some food."

He left with an armful of food.
Leaving Andy and I.
Awkwardly.
Standing.
Here.

"Um," Andy cleared his throat, "I was just running some errands, sorry about that. And sorry about CC. He's not usually like that."
"No, it's ok. What time is it?"
Andy was staring at my hair, where the red/orange came into it, completely zoned out.
I turned my head, expecting a bug or something on it, but there was noting, just the colourful streaks.

I looked back at Andy.
"Earth to Andy, come in Andy?"
He was still staring at my flame-coloured hair. Which I personally like, I've always wanted something other than plain brown hair.

"AAANNNDDDDY!" I yelled.
He glanced up at me, shocked by the yelling.
"What do you want?"
"What's the time?"
He stopped for a minute, thinking, then said, "8:45pm."
"Wow! How do you know?" I asked.
"You can do it too, obviously not as much as I can because you're still a fledgling, but vampires always know the time."
"Wow," I thought that was totally sick, "so...is it...uh...night or daytime for vampires?"
Andy laughed a bit. "It's night time, just as it is for humans now. Daylight doesn't effect fledglings or vampires, although we will feel slightly uncomfortable if out in the sun for more than an hour. It defiantly doesn't harm or kill us, so we usually do stuff throughout the day."
"Oh, cool!" This vamp stuff was so awesome. "So do vamps sleep the same amount of time as humans do?"
"We need to sleep at least 10 hours a week." He replied.

10 hours?!
"What?! 10 hours a week? I sleep that in a day!" I exclaimed.
"Well, vamps are nocturnal, diurnal, crepuscular-"

He stopped when he saw my confused face.
He sighed, then continued, "basically, vamps are active any part of the day."
"Oh..."

We stood there for what seemed like ages until I walked outside.
I did the thing that I do when I get bored.
I climb things and sneak around.
Weird, but hey, I'm nuts.

"...what are you doing...?" Andy asked as I started climbing to get onto the roof of the house, to get a good view point of the forest.

"I like climbing and sneaking around." I replied.

"Huh" Andy said, then started stalking a stag that I could see in the distance.
What is he gonna do now.

I got up on the 2-story house roof, then observed my surroundings.
