"So...this is interesting." Andy's deep voice broke the eerie silence lingering throughout the graveyard.

"Shut up you potato, Candice needs to do her death thing!" CC yelled at Andy.

He put his hands up in surrender, then we continued.

We've been walking through the graveyard for about 5 minutes, waiting for something to happen. It hasn't.

"What do we do? Nothing's happened." CC asked.

"That's because we've been waiting for something to happen. Maybe Candice needs to ask for something to happen." Ashley suggested.

"What, I walk up to a dead persons grave and ask if they wanna talk?!" I exclaimed.

"Yes." Ashley replied.

"Ugh, this is gonna be so weird." I muttered before walking up to a grave.

Rose Hillier.
Born 1930, August 16th
Died 1940, December 13th
Loved by many.

I sighed when I read the plaque. She would have only been about 10 years old.

"Hey," I spoke to the grave awkwardly, "uh, you wanna, um, chat?"

I stood there, holding my breath. The others were silent, too.

For about a minute, nothing happened. I gave up and turned around, walking to the guys.

"Silly Billy, you thought I wouldn't answer you! You're the girl Thana has been talking about; of course I'd answer you!" Came a high pitched voice from behind me.

I slowly turned around. I saw a pale little girl with blonde braids standing by the grave. She looked to be about ten years old.

"W-who are you?" I asked.

The girl giggled. "I'm Rose! Well...I'm Rose's spirit. Rose's body is right below me, although there isn't much left of it now."

I stared below her in horror. Her body is right below her, yet she's so happy and giggly?

"Aren't you sad about the fact you're dead? And your body's only a matter of a few feet below you?" I asked.

She giggled, again. "No, not really. As I said before, I'm the spirit of Rose, which means I'm basically who she was and what her personality was like." She grinned at me.

Huh. At least she was a nice girl. "You mentioned Thana?" I asked, just to make sure I had heard right.

She seemed to light up when I spoke the Goddess' name. "Yeah! I like Thana, she's so pretty and nice! You wouldn't ever think that, would you? Thana being the Goddess of Death and such-"

"You mean, you've seen Thana?" I cut her off.

She stared at me. "Of course! I'm dead, aren't I? She's the Goddess that handles all the dead stuff, right? When I walked through the world that Thana simply calls the 'Land of Dead', this beautiful woman with shiny black hair and blue eyes approached me. To be honest, she looked like a black-haired barbie doll! Anyway, I was a tad scared. I asked for her name, and she said she was Thana. I asked who she was, so she explained what she does as a Goddess. Since then, she's been like a mommy to me in the Land of Dead! I do miss my mommy, I can't seem to find her in the Land of Dead..." She trails off and starts crying.

"Honey, don't cry!" I walked up to her and engulfed her into a big hug. I patted her head and tried to calm her down.

When she calmed down, she said, "this is the first time I've been on Earth since I died. Thanks for letting me see it again, although you have to be careful next time."

I gave her a confused look. "Careful?" I asked.

"Yeah," she answered, drying her non-existent tears, "some spirits are bad and evil. If you called one of them, who knows what damage they could've done. You're lucky you called me. I would never do that evil stuff, even though I could. So, just be careful in the future."

I released her from the hug, then kneeled down so I was eye level with her. "Thanks." I said. "So, do you know if I have a bond with Thana?" I asked, hoping she would know something.

She giggled, which made me heart leap. She's so adorable. "Yeah, well, you are talking to a dead girl, aren't you?"

I laughed. "Well...I suppose I am!"

Rose laughed, then said, "I have to go back, or Thana will get angry. Goodbye, Candice!" She waved, then dissolved into thin air.

How'd she know my name?

"WOW, YOU HAVE A BOND WITH THANA!!" Ashley screamed.

"Yeah," I laughed, "yes, I guess I do!"

Sorry it's short again. But...now you know :)

Peace out trouts ❤️💕✌️
