I gasped. What was screeching my name was just a few meters behind Andy.
It was horrible. It looked like a human and a bird combined, but it wasn't a human, neither a bird. It barley had any skin covering it, so it's organs were visible along with its skeletal structure. It's skeleton hands and feet were massive, each with three pointy fingers or toes. It had the top of a birds beak, but the bottom was a thin and sharp hook-like bone. It's eyes...it's eyes were full of...evil. They were black and dark, just purely evil.
"Are you with Thana?" I asked it. Maybe it's with Thana, since she's the Goddess of Death.
Andy looked behind him, then went pale, slowly and silently moving to my side.
The creature laughed. "Thana? The Goddess of Death?! No!" It laughed more. "No, I am not with Thana. I am one of Eris' children! Eris, the Goddess of Evil herself, my one and only mistress who I serve, which isssss an honour." It hissed. Ew.
Wait, aren't death and evil the same thing?
"Are Thana and Eris buddies or something, seeing as death and evil are the same thing?" I asked it.
It cackled. "Nooo, you are a ssstupid vampire child. Death and evil are two completely different thingssss. Your mistress may be the Goddess of Death, but she isss not evil, unlike my mistressss." It hissed. It stepped closer to Andy and I. "My mistress wants you gone; you will ssstop her plansss. Thana will use you to ssstop Eris, then mistress will be angry at me and my brothersss. I cannot let that happen! Begone, child of Thana!"
The thing leapt at me. I yelped, then dodged out of the way. It crashed down onto the wooden floor boards of the living room. Ice suddenly appeared on the floor, preventing the creature from getting up. I looked at Andy, who looked like he was concentrating hard.
"Thanks." I said to him.
"No problem. Call for fire now and throw flames into it's heart. It's the only way to kill it." Andy said, still concentrating on the patch of ice under the creature.
The thing suddenly hooked it's three claws into the ice and clenched, shattering the ice into small shards.
Oh shit. I looked at Andy, but he wasn't there anymore. Where is he?
"Candice! I'd do something if I were you!" I looked up and saw Andy, hitting the creature from all sides with incredible speed. Wow.
I thought. I don't want to throw a ball of flames incase it hits Andy...
I looked around me and saw a broken piece of wooden floor board. It was sharp at the end, due to snapping. Better than nothing.
I ran over and picked up the floor board. I thought hard.
Fire, I need you.
Nothing.
Oh for craps sake, light the damn wood on fire! I yelled in my head.
The end of the board went up in masses of flames. Thank god.
I ran over to the creature, who was having trouble trying to see where Andy was, since he looked like a blur.
I aimed carefully, then drove the blazing board through the oblivious creatures chest.
It stopped looking around and fell to the ground, still alive.
I walked up to the shaking body. "Give a message to this mistress of yours." I told it. "Don't play with fire." Then I set the creature alight. It shrieked, then quietened after a few seconds. Andy put out the flames with a gust of air.
I looked at Andy. "Thanks for helping."
He looked at me, pale and breathing hard. "Hey, no problem. I know what that was."
I stared at him. "You do? What was it?"
"A Hook Horror. They're associated with Eris, the Goddess of Evil. She's very, very powerful. She's one of the most recognisable Goddess', along with Thana. Eris is the most evil being ever known, hence the title Goddess of Evil." He explained.
"Ok, so Thana isn't the bad guy, and Eris is?" I asked.
"I'm not sure. All I know is that Eris isn't good news." Andy explained.
I looked at the Hook Horror. It was disgusting. If it's associated with Eris, she must be an ugly bitch.
"We'd better get rid of it before Jake and Jinxx come back." Andy said.
"We're back!" Jake called out.
"Too late." Andy muttered.
Jinxx and Jake came into the living room, carrying bags of red liquid. When they saw the Hook Horror, I swear their eyes fell out of their heads.
"What is that?!" Jinxx asked, shocked.
"It's a Hook Horror." Andy explained.
"I thought they only appear when Eris is on Earth!" Jake exclaimed.
Andy looked at him. "Is that so?"
"Yeah, I read it from a book somewhere...wait, is Eris on Earth?" Jake asked.
"Probably. That Hook Horror said that it needed to kill Candice or something like that, for it's mistress." Andy explained.
"We need to keep Candice safe then, if there's more Hook Horror's out there!" Jinxx exclaimed.
"I'm sorry, this is all too confusing for me. I'm gonna have a break, and have a kit-kat." I said, then left for the kitchen.
I opened the one of the fridges, hoping for a kit-kat. I had opened the empty blood fridge. Blood...
I walked into the living room, snatching two bags of blood from Jake's hand. I opened them and quickly downed them, enjoying the still-warm liquid swishing down my throat. I know, drinking blood...so gross. But...so yum!
I threw the bags onto the floor and walked over to a couch, flopping down on it.
A dusty book landed on my lap. The title was: All things Evil: which world should I destroy today?
I looked up and saw Andy. "Read up, you'll need to know about all things evil." He smirked, then walked off.
I groaned, then opened the book. The first page named all the chapters. All 90 chapters.
I mentally shot myself. This is going to be so much fun...
