The night was crisp and the bead was cool.
To keep warm, I wrapped a blanket around me and you.
Sitting on a rock, seeing boats as they came to dock, I watched all our hopes and all our dreams float out into the sea.
One by one, they drifted away. Was there anything I could have done to make you stay?
I glance up at the sky, stars shinning so bright.
One and then two and then I know where you are.
Third star to the right and you're in a land of make believe. A land that I could never let myself be.
Someone had to grow up, you see, and I guess that somebody had to be me.
Throughout all these years, I haven't changed. Not really. Not one bit.
My soul is still with you, wherever you are, as is my heart.
I dream of Neverland every night and I'm always awoken after a terrible fright.
I go to the window and look up to the sky and suddenly I wish I could fly.
You made me promises but they were paper thin.
We always won when we fought against Hook.
But, when it came to you, you knew I'd never win.
