Neverland No. 2

Every night, I lean against the windowsill and wonder where you are.

Are you near or are you far?

I wish so dearly that I could erase your memory.

I love you, more than life itself. Nothing could compare to that.

Sometimes, I wonder if you ever really love me too.

But, in a world of make believe, what you mean is never what you say and what you say is never what you mean.

Wounds have healed and turned to scars. Never did I think I would witness the dimming of your star.

With a deep sigh, I shut the window and lock it twice.

I wished you the best. You deserved happiness I could never give to you.

But, I just wanted you to stay with me that night. I wasn't ready to say goodbye.

After all, weren't you the one who said to never say goodbye because that would be forever?

Turns out, you were right.
