Tabula Rasa

I flew away to Neverland because I had to escape this reality. You see, this life was becoming too much for me. I had become someone I no longer knew. Everyone else had begun to notice it too. Who was this girl in the body of the girl they once knew?

I had to fly away because I knew this was a place in which I could no longer stay. So, I began to countdown the months that turned into days. I planned my escape for the middle of May. In the dead of night, I escaped and slipped away into a deep blue sky that turned into a sea. Neverland was greeting me.

I placed my feet upon the grass of Neverland and was greeted by the wind. A sigh of relief, a sharp inhale. I was finally free and I had left the dreary world behind me. So long and farewell to those who once loved me. This is my blank slate, you see. This is my chance to create a new me.

Don't you cry for me, because I have to figure out what's wrong with me. Above the sky, above the sea, I found a tabula rasa that was just for me. In Neverland, you can be whoever you wish to be.

Perhaps one day, I'll return to my life below the clouds, near the sea.

Until that day, please forget to remember me.
