As Zelda and Link stepped out of the Mayor's house, Zelda leaned back and put all of her weight on the door and acted like she was winded out.
"Phew. Geez it was really hard to act so.... composed," Zelda said half laughing.
Laughing with her, Link responded, "Now you know how it feels to be mature, and not completely immature all the time."
Gently punching Link on the shoulder, Zelda said, "Hey! I'm not always immature! Just... most of the time."
Coming up out of her shadow, Midna said, "Hate to break up the laugh-fest but--"
Cutting Midna off, Zelda said, "I know, I know. Let's get going over to that temple."
Rolling her eye, Midna started to disappear back in Zelda's shadow.
"No, wait!" Zelda called out to Midna. "How can only Link and I see you, but everyone else can't?"
"Look at your right hand." Midna said to Zelda.
"Oh. But Link has the Triforce on his left hand... does that affect it at all?" Zelda asked.
"It doesn't affect him differently at all. It just means his dominant hand is his left hand."
Shrugging, Zelda dropped the subject and said, "Ok, now for real now, let's go to that temple!"

When they reached the clearing in front of the temple, there was a strange bird, that could talk, that was squawking for help. Without alerting any of her companions, Zelda dashed forward, with speed she didn't know she had. Dashing ahead towards the green, horned monsters attacking the bird, she cried out and slashed her sword through the first one's skull. As she expected, it dropped to it's knees and exploded. Whirling around to face the other one, she swung her shield up to block the oncoming club swinging at her. Blocking it expertly, Zelda spun around and slashed the creature's neck, killing it instantly. Swinging her sword in an X she sheathed it and heard the same squawking of the bird.
"Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for saving little Perdy! Thank you!" The bird squawked.
Now that Zelda was calm, she observed the bird. It was a very strange bird that had a blue afro, and looked like a toucan.
"Your welcome..."
"Perdy! Name's Perdy! My name's Perdy and don't forget it!" the bird said flapping his wings a little.
"Your welcome Perdy," Zelda said warmly.
When she turned around, she gasped as Link was running up to her. Before she could react, nonetheless blink, Link had his hands on her shoulders.
"Are you okay, Zelda? Geez, don't run off like that! I nearly fell flat on my face trying to get to you! You're the Light Princess for Goddess' sake! Are you trying to give me a heart attack!?" Link exclaimed.
"Calm down Link! I took both of them down! Don't worry! I'm not a damsel in distress! I can take care of myself!" Zelda said trying vainly to squirm out of Link's iron grip.
Giving her a look, Link released Zelda. "But next time, try to alert me before you run off." Link said grumpily.
"Look you have an admirer!" the bird squawked.
"What!?" Zelda exclaimed turning red, "I-he-we-it's not like that! We're just friends!"
Link stiffened, then started laughing. "Me? Her? We? Hahaha! Of course not! Why we're siblings!" Link said.
Abruptly turning towards Link, Zelda began to speak, but was roughly cut off by Link.
"Isn't that right, sis?" Link said, his sky blue eyes telling her to go along with it.
"Wha.. Oh! Right! That would never happen! Why he's my big brother! Me and him? What a silly thought!" Zelda said.
"Nope! Lie! But I leave you alone!" Perdy said, cocking his head.
"Well..Umm.. We'd better get going.. bye Perdy!" Zelda said.
"No! Wait! Here! Gift for you saving me! Take this!" Perdy called after them. Turning around hesitantly, Zelda saw Perdy holding two lanterns with two bottles of oil.
"Here! Take! It's dark in temple! This light up way!" Perdy said flying over to them, dropping one lantern and a bottle of oil on top of both of them.
"Ow!" Zelda grunted. "Here, hook it onto your tunic. It'll stay attached." Link said.
"Ok," Zelda responded. "Bye Perdy!" she said as they turned and progressed to the temple. Upon getting to the entrance, there was a wispy golden wolf.
Huh...? That wolf looks... like it's a ghost...
Zelda took out her sword, and held her sword at the ready, and Link did the same. The golden wolf barked, leapt, and as it leaped, it turned into two, leaping into Link and Zelda's bodies. Struggling to rise to her feet, Zelda saw Link beside her, staring in horror at something ahead of him. Looking forward, Zelda saw the wolf howl soundlessly and turn into a huge skeleton with vines and armor all over him.
He seemed to be alive, and had invisible hands, arms, legs, feet, and an invisible head with burning red eyes. Getting in his ready stance, Zelda did the same, just after Link.
The phantom screamed and tore forward and did a spin attack, only the blade was on fire, and leaving red streaks as he spun. Bringing their shield up, Zelda and Link were smacked away, a good 15 feet, but still intact. Struggling to get up again, Zelda and Link got in their ready stance again, but were barely able to stay standing, nonetheless hold their sword and shield, although they knew that he was undefeatable with their amount of strength right then. Zelda cried out and lunged toward the ghost, but he waved his hand in the air and Zelda froze.
I.. can't... move!
Zelda struggled to release herself from the phantom's grip, but he held her there steadily.
"Enough." a deep voice spoke. "If you are to be heroes, you must fight much harder." the ghost said.
Watching the phantom warily, Link circled him.
"I am here to teach you the sacred skills of fighting." the man said.
Standing up, Zelda nodded and said, "I am willing to learn. Teach me all you know."
"You must learn one skill at a time. For now, all I will teach you is the ending blow. When your enemy is on the ground, trying to catch their breath and strength to get up to attack is when you strike," the phantom said.
Nodding, Zelda asked, "How?"
"You must leap onto it, then drive your sword into its heart, then flip off," the skeleton said, demonstrating how.
Zelda copied his movements and completed the move with ease, Link following.
"Good. Now try it on me," the ghost said.
Zelda nodded and walked up to him slowly. Suddenly, she whirled around and did a spin attack. She felt the phantom forcefully throw himself back.
"Now!" he shouted.
Link dashed forward and they both completed the ending blow, completely in sync. Flipping off, the phantom rose and praised them.
"Good aim, and nice power. You successfully learned the ending blow."
Bowing to him, Zelda and Link asked, "Can we return to the real world now?"
"Of course. But there will be howling stones where you can summon me, and you can learn another hidden skill," the phantom said with a wave of his hand, the duo were gone.
