Meeting up with them, Link told them, hoping they would understand, "We can't get through. The bridge fell."
Shaking their head, the male monkey leapt up on the rope, and the female monkey jumped, grabbed onto the hanging monkey's hands, and seized the rope a few feet away. Clapping their hands, the monkeys gestured for Link to jump. Taking a few steps back, Link sprinted to the edge of the outcropping, then jumped. The monkey was surprisingly strong and swung Link back and forth. Grunting, Link released the first monkey's hands and grabbed onto the next monkey. Grunting once again, Link leapt and landed on the other side of the gap.
"Phew." Link said. Turning around, he saw the first monkey swing onto the same spot he was in, and the female monkey follow. Trotting up the slope to the door, he noticed another rope. Turning around to ask the monkeys if they could help him across, they were gone.
Huh. Weird.
Turning back around, he saw the monkeys hanging on the rope already.
Wow. It's like they can read my mind!
Shrugging inwardly, Link sprinted to the end and leaped. The first monkey caught him, then swung him over to his female friend. Catching him, she swung him up to the platform and he landed, then rolled to a safe stop. Releasing a breath he didn't realise he was holding, he walked over to the chest and opened it. Frowning, he pulled out a compass.
"Wow. Wonder what this does," Link thought aloud. Taking out his map, he saw little mini chests marked all over the map, along with a few monkey faces, and a huge skull. Shuddering about what the skull could mean, he tucked the map back into his pocket. Again the monkeys got on the rope and he swung over to the door once again.
It's kinda weird without Zelda and her sarcasm. I kinda miss the way she would turn pink and look away...
Realizing what his thoughts were suggesting, he walked back through the door, pushing any thoughts of her to the back of his mind.

As soon as he stepped out into the howling wind, the monkeys flew by him and grabbed the rope he swung back over to the main room with the four doors.
Two down... two more monkeys to go.
Walking over to the left side, he saw a silver lock on it.
I'm missing the key for that... I'd better keep an eye out for it.
Walking back over to the center of the room, he went to the right door. Opening it, he saw a room with a bridge in the center that had propellers on the top. It was facing straight and led to another unlocked door. He opened it and was greeted by a strange sight. There were four mushroom platforms sticking out of a huge tree to his left, and another huge tree to his right with a large branch hanging over the middle of a huge gap from the platform he was standing on to the platform on the opposite side of the room. The branch looked sturdy enough to hold about fifteen people. Also to his right were a maze of bridges. Pulling out his map, he saw that he was standing right across the skull room. Shuddering he put his map away and started to follow the bridges. As he leapt and landed on the outcropping at the end of the maze, he climbed up some vines and found a small, silver key. Grinning, he climbed back down and made his way over back to the main room. Making his way over to the left, he unlocked the door and walked in. It was a dark, musty room. There were three holes in the ground with thick spiderwebs covering the holes on the left and on the right. Spit particles were falling down onto the web, so Link looked up.
Great.
Link had to battle two of the huge spiders he met with at the beginning of the temple. Rushing forward, he quickly executed the one on the right. As he prepared to face the one on the left, he was caught off guard when he was struck on his arm. Gritting his teeth in pain, he swung around and beheaded the spider. Grunting in pain, he examined his wound. His tunic was torn at the spot, and he was bleeding badly.
This shouldn't hurt as much as it does. The only way this could hurt this much would be if...
Realizing that he was poisoned, he sat down on the wall, clutching at his wound. He shut his eyes and silently accepted that his time was over.

Several minutes later, Zelda appeared after taking her break. She was laughing and started to tell her story when she saw Link.
No...
Rushing over Zelda shook Link.
"Link! Link please wake up!! I can't lose you!" Zelda cried, shaking Link by his shoulders.
"Please Link get up!!" Zelda wailed. Coming out of his shadow, Midna's eye widened in horror.
"Link! Oh no, this can't be happening this would ruin everything-" Midna was cut off by Zelda pushing her away.
"Midna can you please just stop worrying about your plan and DO SOMETHING!" Zelda sobbed.
"I can't! I'm powerless in the Light Realm!" Midna retorted, starting to panic. Zelda sobbed, then had an idea.
Didn't I buy a few red potions?
Reaching into her pouch, she pulled out a red potion. Opening Link's mouth she poured the drink into his mouth.
"Link?" Zelda asked, her sobbing calmed down to silent tears running down her face.
"Link please! Wake up!" Zelda said her sobs starting to come back to her. A small movement caught her eye.
Is he up? Is he alive?
"Did anyone ever tell you that you look kinda cute when you're crying?" Link rasped.
"You're alive!" Zelda cried, wrapping her arms around him and squeezing him into a tight hug.
"Of course I'm alive, I wouldn't leave you to get all the glory!" Link said jokingly. As Zelda hugged him and started to laugh she realized what he had just said.
Did he just call me cute?
The thought made her laugh and say to him, "You really scared me!! Don't ever do that again!"
"Don't worry I don't plan to. Now can you please release me from your iron grip?" Link said laughing.
"Oh, sorry!" Zelda said blushing.
Wiping the tears from her eyes, Zelda lit the spiderweb on the right into flames.
"We should get going," Zelda said, before she could have time to really process what just happened. Nodding in agreement, Link set the spiderweb on the left on fire. Jumping down, Zelda landed on a platform, whereas Link landed on the floor. Looking straight ahead, she saw a caged monkey.
"Alright little monkey, time for you to be freed! You might want to move to the side though," Zelda remarked. Unsheathing her sword, she slashed at the cage until it broke open. Clapping, the monkey climbed up the vines along with his two friends, not waiting for his savior.
"Oh he's so kind," Zelda said sarcastically, rolling her eyes. Laughing along with her, Link climbed the vines, with Zelda right behind him.
Reaching the top, Link said, "Follow me, I know where to go now." Nodding her consent, she followed Link to the top, then saw that the monkey was punching a certain area of the wall completely covered in vines.
I think he's saying for us to hit that part of the wall...
Taking her sword out, she slashed at the vines, which fell and uncovered a door.
"Let's go," Zelda said, gesturing for Link to go first.
"Ladies first," Link said.
"Exactly why I told you to go first," Zelda said smirking.
Putting his hand over his heart, Link said with mock hurtness, "Why, I'm not a lady!" but went in first anyway.
