Chapter 14: The Fight
Appearing in front of the temple, Zelda stomped ahead of everyone and pointed her finger harshly at Link.
"Link, go ahead without us for a while," Zelda snarled.
"Where do I--"
"ANYWHERE!" taking a deep breath, Zelda started again. "Link, just go somewhere. I'll find you when I'm done talking to Midna. Privately." Fueling Zelda's fury, Link worriedly found Midna's eye and mouthed good luck to her. Zelda nearly screeched in fury and shoved Link backward. "GO!" Zelda nearly screamed.
"Okay, I get it." Link said, annoyed. Link stalked out of the clearing in front of the temple and began walking towards Epona. Reaching her, he went for a ride, leaving Zelda and Midna alone.
Turning towards Midna, Zelda looked her in the eye, "Alright. I'm going to get straight to the point." Midna arched an eyebrow smugly, but Zelda could detect a hint of worry in her eye. "You like-maybe love- Link." it sounded like a statement rather than a question.
"Um.." Midna looked down.
"Do you or don't you," Zelda's voice had dropped down several octaves and was now sounding deadly.
"I do. I fell in love with him from the start," Midna said, now looking at Zelda straight in the face. Zelda's fury rose and for a moment thought of slapping Midna. Before she could say anything to her Midna interrupted her and said, "So what? We can all love whoever we want! I don't care what you say, I WILL ALWAYS LOVE HIM!" Midna spat at Zelda. Zelda's hands fisted and she let out a low growl. She pulled her fist back to hit her when she stopped. She put her hand down and looked away.
"Very well. I cannot hate you for loving another, even when that could be dangerous," Zelda paused, thinking of what she was going to say. "I guess it's a good thing you love him, for it seems as if he loves you," Zelda finished.
Midna's eye widened and she said, "You really think so?"
"Yes, I do," Zelda said, her back facing Midna as a tear rolled down her cheek. Midna, oblivious to Zelda's sadness, merely cleared her throat.
"We should go catch up to Link," Midna said.
"Yes... we should... and can we never talk about this ever again?" Zelda said, trying hard to stop her voice from wavering. She wiped the tear from her eye without Zelda noticing and turned towards her to see her answer. Midna nodded.
"Let's go meet up with him and head off the the Eldin region."

"Hey Link, wait up!" Zelda called to him once she spotted her horse.
"Done ripping each other's throat out?" Link asked jokingly.
Zelda glared at him and replied, "Do you wanna be next?"
Laughing, Link said, "No thank you.. where's Midna?"
Refusing to have her mood dampened by that Zelda replied, "In my shadow." Before Midna could pop up and say anything Zelda continued, "She's ready to go to the Eldin region."
"Okay. Jump on Epona and let's go," Link said, holding out his hand to Zelda.
Hesitating, Zelda spoke, "I kinda wanna walk over to the next blanket of twilight. I've just had too much action and want to calm down as I go over there. You don't have to come I just.. don't wanna rush." Arching an eyebrow at what Zelda said, Link hopped off of Epona.
"Why then let's walk together. After all, you are a damsel in distress," Link said smirking.
Going along with it Zelda replied, "Why what would I do without my knight in shining armor?" As Link began to reply to her comment Zelda said, "Don't answer that."
Laughing again, Link said, "Very well, Your Oh So Holiness Majesty."
Rolling her eyes at Link's title for her, she began to walk towards Hyrule fields.
