Clasping hands with the monkeys, he let go and leapt towards the opposite outcropping. Landing, and rolling forward, he landed safely.
"Come on, now you jump! Just trust me!" Link said, opening his arms.
Shutting her eyes, Zelda leapt and made it to the other side, landing in Link's open arms.
Turning red by how close they were, she untangled herself from him, smoothed her hair back and laughed nervously.
"Umm... thanks for catching me.." Zelda said awkwardly.
"No problem," Link said, turning a blind eye to Zelda's awkwardness.
Turning towards the door, Zelda inserted the key. Before she turned it, Link took out his sword and slashed at the pots.
"What are you doing!?" Zelda asked incredulously.
"There should be a- there it is," Link took a bottle out of his pouch, emptied its contents, and trapped the fairy in the bottle.
"This fairy will save us if we are ever close to death," Link explained.
"Oh. Good. Anyway, let's just go beat the boss," Zelda said exasperatingly.
Zelda turned back to the door and turned the lock. About a second after it unlocked, it fell off of the door and disintegrated.
"Hey!" Midna came out of Zelda's shadow suddenly.
"OH COME ON!" Zelda shouted, pulling at her hair.
Glaring at her, Midna said, "This boss will stop me from using what little power I have left, and will do the same to Ooccoo. So you'll be on your own."
"Well, we already have been. It's not like you helped out or anything," Zelda grumbled.
Before Midna could say anything else, Zelda walked into the room.
❧ ❧ ❧
When she walked in, she was greeted by the sight of a huge purple pool.
Link said from beside her, "That must be poisonous."
"I know... but I wonder when the boss is going to show--"
Zelda was cut off when suddenly, two huge plant heads that looked like a Venus Fly Trap with purple vines on it popped out of the water, shrieking. Just as it came out of the water, logs with little green ball bugs came out of the holes in the logs.
"I've seen those bugs before! If they are shocked or killed, they turn into bombs!" Pausing for a moment, Zelda said, "We could use the boomerang to feed the weird plant the bugs!"
"The plant's' name is Diababa," Midna said, suddenly coming out of Zelda's shadow.
"Diababa?" Zelda and Link said in sync.
"Yes," Midna replied.
"Well, let's just get this over with and kill it," Zelda said, preparing to send off the boomerang.
She focused, then threw the boomerang as hard as she could at the bug, then focused and made the boomerang fly towards the plant's mouth. The boomerang just escaped the plant as it closed its mouth and swallowed the bomb, letting out a horrible scream before falling into the pit of poison. Focusing again, she repeated her task, killing the second head.
That.. was way too easy...
Suddenly, there was a huge scream and the heads came back, only with a companion this time. There was a slug-like creature that had one huge eye.
