Brittney, you have roughly 5 minutes to get in there, grab your stuff and get the hell away from this mess. I tell myself as I pull up to the castle.
I take the keys out of my car, and run to the front door.
"Ms. Brittney aren't you supposed to be at your wedding?" One of the maids asks, as I dash past her.
"I should be, but I'm not. And if anyone asks, I was never here." She nods and I make my way to my bedroom that I had been sharing with Caleb for the past few months.
"Okay, I need some clothes and money." I mutter to myself, pulling out a few suitcases. I start pulling the clothes off the hangers and into the bags. "Don't stop. You have to get out of this hell hole."
I take a deep breath and make my way to the bathroom, grabbing some of my items in there. Looking in the mirror, I start to cry some more. I'm a mess, I say to myself.
"Ms. Brittney. They will be here in 5 minutes." The same maid who saw me enter alerts me, she smile and takes my hand and places a wad of cash. "There's a little bit more in your purse along with a credit card. It will get you a ticket and a good month or two of living supplies."
I smile at her, "I don't know why you're helping me, but thank you."
She nods and walks off. I pull off the wedding dress, and replace it with a crop top and shorts.
"Where is she, Mary?" I hear Ally ask.
I take a deep breath and grab my bags, and open the window.
"I know she's here. Her cars here." Caleb snaps, and I hear footsteps make there way upstairs.
The door swings opens, revealing Crystal. "Go." She orders, "They're coming, run!"
I throw my bags out the window and fall the 4 foot jump. Grabbing the bags, I dash to my car. When I'm inside I take a deep breath before taking off to the airport.
I arrive at the airport an hour later, and I quickly count the money. 10,000. Plus the credit card. I sigh in relief and make my way into the airport.
"Excuse me?" I ask when I get to the counter. The flight sales person, looks up at me and her eyes go wide.
"Princess Brittney, what are you doing here?" She asks, "Aren't you supposed to be with Prince Caleb, getting married?"
"I don't have all day to explain why I'm here instead of there. I just need your first available flight out of here, please."
She nods, and starts typing things into the computer. "The first flight I can get you on out of here is to Tennessee. Leaving in about 2 hours."
I smile, "I'll take it. But I'll need to check all my bags too."
She laughs, "Of course. How many bags?"
I gesture to the 4 bags, I have not including my backpack and purse. "A lot."
"Well I'm assuming you aren't coming back, so I understand why you have so many bags." She smiles, and start putting tags on them and weighing them. She hands me my ticket and I start to leave when she calls for me, "Whatever it is, causing you guys not to get married, I hope it all ends well."
I smile and make my way to security. After having my backpack and purse checked I make my way to my gate.
I was waiting at my gate for a good 20 minutes when an older couple roughly in their 50's with a little girl and a teenage boy, walked up to me.
"Excuse me?" The man asks, I turn to him and smile, "My granddaughter and son are traveling to Tennessee alone, and I was wondering if you'd be willing to watch over them?
I look over at the two kids. Well kid and teenager. The granddaughter had curly blonde hair and looked about 5. The son looked about 15, and had brunette hair.
"I can get on the f*cking plane myself. I don't need some damn stranger to watch me." The boy snaps and looks at me, "Even if she is hot, I don't want her being my babysitter until I get back home."
"James, just please behave. It's not you I'm worried about, it's Kenzie. And you know that Brandon is already going to kill me, for not coming with you guys." The man says, rubbing his temples.
"It would be my pleasure to watch over them. I will make sure they get home." I smile, then turning my attention to the women I find her starring at me intensely.
"Thank you. My son, Brandon should be at the airport to pick them both up, and it's a small airport so it shouldn't be hard for them to get together." The man smiles, and kneels down to the little girl, "Kenzie, you be nice with this young women. She's going to take good care of you." He turns his attention to the teenage boy, "James, behave. And please make sure you explain to Brandon why I couldn't come with."
With that he leaves me with them. I turn my attention to them both. "My name's Brittney. Just so you know."
"Already knew that. Brandon's girlfriend, well ex-girlfriend is obsessed with you. She would always compare herself to you, wishing she looked like you. Can't blame her, she's an ugly wh*re." James smirks. "But the real question is why are you here, when you're royalty?"
I laugh a little, "You wouldn't understand. Let's just focus on getting on this flight, and getting you and Kenzie on the flight."
He nods, and turns his attention out the window. The little girl, starts running around with two dolls, talking for them both.
"I'm 16, just incase you're wondering." James, says breaking the silence. "Kenzie is 4. Brandon is 21 and Kenzie's mom, Ashley is 20. An accidental one night stand caused a lot more."
"Do you really think it's okay to tell a stranger that?" I ask a little surprised that he shared that with me.
"You might as well know. I'm assuming you have no where to go, and I was planning on offering you Brandon's place."
I laugh a little, "Thanks for offering your brothers place, but I'll figure out something myself."
He smirks, and turns to me, "Actually I just got a text from my brother telling me that Ashley will be picking us up. And she's going to be the one who offers you a place to stay. Ashely always gets what she wants. That's why my brother hasn't left her."
I nod, and look over at Kenzie, who is trying to pet someone's dog.
"Just try not to get attached to my brother, if he were to try and leave Ashley, she would take Kenzie away. And although Kenzie was a mistake, my brother won't let her out of his life. He cares for her far too much." James laughs, "My brother is a chick magnet though. But not as hot as me."
I roll my eyes and chuckle.
"Will all passengers make their way to the gate, Flight 819 is now boarding. I repeat Flight 819 is now boarding."
"Grab Kenzie, for me and lets go." James orders.
"Hey, Kenzie. It's time to go back home to mommy and daddy." I smile at her as she widens her eyes and grabs her small backpack and dolls. She grabs my hand and attempts to start running to where her Uncle is waiting.
We get onto the plane, where the flight attendant has now moved some passengers, so that all 3 of us can be seated together. Kenzie begged for the window seat, and James made sure he got the isle seat, so I took the middle. She opened the window and stared out, and so did I. Here I was, 18 years old. Running away from my own wedding. Running away from the pain and torture of Caleb. I was finally going to be free from him.
The only problem I was faced with... Forgetting everything he had done to me.
