Chapter 3

I dove my face into his shoulder without hesitation and dug my teeth into his flesh. His flavor filled my mouth. He tasted so good. His blood spilled out and I licked it up. Then I saw Hide's face again and I stopped. I remembered what he said. Just one bite so that's all I took. His eyebrows were furrowed and his eyes were tightly shut.

Realization flowed back to me and I screamed tears coming back to my eyes. "Hide! W-why did you let me do that!" Tears busted out of my eyes and I couldn't hold them back.

"Y-you need medical help
r-right now!"
"It's not that bad Kaneki I promise and beside what would I tell them happened. There are bandages in the bathroom and a first aid kit that will be fine."

I got his point and quickly scrambled to the bathroom, frantically throwing things around until I found the first aid kit and bandages. I rushed back to Hide and disinfected his wound before wrapping it up.

"I promise I won't let that happen again." I said as I leaned into his body and listened to his surprisingly steady heart beat.

"Even if it does happen again it's alright because your worth it."

"It's not going to happen again!" I yelled through choked sobs and gritted teeth. "I lo- ike you too much to let it happen again." My cheeks turned red and hot as I almost slipped up my words.

"Do you want to sleep over here tonight it seems like you've been through a lot," Hide said soothingly.
"I'll have the couch," I muttered.
"No you can sleep on my bed."
"No Hide your hurt you need to sleep on your bed."

"The only way I'm sleeping on my bed is if your also sleeping on it." My cheeks became flushed in a crimson color once again.

"N-no I'm sleeping on the couch."
Hide's voice almost seemed disapointed.

"Fine." Was all he said but then realizing he let his sadness show through he covered it up with is bright smile.

"Actually Hide I think I should sleep on your bed with you."
His eyes glistened and his smile was brighter.

I took a sip of the coffee he had made earlier. "It's good!" I mentioned.
"Haha thanks but I know your just trying to make me feel better."
"No really, it's good."
"Not as good as yours."
I wanted to just kiss him so bad he was so adorable so hard to resist.
