Chapter 8

Kaneki's POV

Hide ran in, he had one black eye with red in the center and red veins around his eye popping out.

He had a kagune out that was yellow and orange spikey flame like thing that came off of the back of his upper arms and lower arms as well as the back of his lower legs.

He ran in and he looked like a crazy maniac and helped me slash and strike at Jason. Over and over Hide and I attacked him until he was dead. I took his dead body and ferociously tour at his skin.

I sank my teeth into him and ripped out chunks of his skin eating it quickly. My eye had already been black and red and red veins around my eye was popped out.

Blooded covered my face as I dove into his flesh tearing and biting sucking up blood. Not even caring about the fact that my lover was watching terrified the while time.

My mind seemed almost taken over like I was going only by instincts and I had almost no control over what was happening, but I loved it. Once I finished Jason Hide walked up to me slowly.

"Kaneki..." He ran his fingers through my new hair and muttered something to himself. I looked up at him and realized he was crying and I was as well. He embraced me in a hug as his Kagune drew back.

"W-why..?" Was all I managed.
"Because I couldn't save you as a human..."
"So you had someone turn you into...."
"Yeah," Hide replied looking down.

"At least you look cute with white hair..." Hide said, he always did look on the brightside.
"Hide, I need to go."
"What do you mean, we just got together again."

"I think I'm going to join Aogiri."
Hide's expression became pure hurt like someone had punched him and he showed no intention to try and cover up the fact that saying that hurt him.

"P-please s-stay Kaneki," Hide begged. He started to cry more and I leaned into him and kissed him softly tasting his salty tears.

"You could join them too Hide."
"I can't do something like that, and the Kaneki I used to know couldn't either."

I turned away from him and said grumpily, "I'm not the same person as I used to be." Hide turned be back towards him and brushed my white hair from my face.

"Where's the adorable dork who loves books that I fell in love with."
He cried even harder now and leaned his head on my shoulder.

"It's still me... I've just changed.."
"B-but I DON'T WANT YOU TO CHANGE."
"Hide... maybe we should just br-"
"NO!" Hide screamed, "NO NO NO NO No no... no."
I held him tighter in my arms.

"I will stay, but now that you are a ghoul we are going to have to work together to get stronger.... and do things that you wish you will never have to do."

"I-I will try," he muttered.
"Hide we have to get going someone is going to find us."
