Helen awakes to the sound of the alarm and looks at it. The clock says it is 8.00. Helen sighs realizing its time to get the kids up and ready for school. She makes her way to the kids bedroom. First She wakes Alexis up.
Helen puts her head through the door whilst it is slightly ajar. "Alexis honey It's time to get ready for school".
Alexis put's her blanket it over her head. "Do I have to?!".
Helen sighs expecting this. "Yes you do..We go through this every morning now get up! Don't let me tell you again."
Alexis groans and does as she was told but as slowly as possible. She thinks to herself. "Maybe she will bunk off today?." Looking in her bedside mirror she brushes her hair. "Then again that'll only anger mum even more."
She hears her mum move across the hall to her brothers room. "Daniel time to get up for school."
Her brother shouts back eagerly "Coming Mum!"
Alexis laughs hearing this and speaks to herself quietly, "Stupid mummy's boy."Daniel Knocks on Alexis's door. "Go away!" Daniel enters her room anyway despite his sister not wanting him there. "Mum's waiting Sis, we are going to be late."
Alexis shrugs "Who cares?".
Daniel laughs at her "Fine if you end up with a dead end job don't come crying to me."
She scoffs at him and secretly thinks to herself "He's not even 18 yet and he still thinks he's better than me.. Taking the moral high ground being such a goody two shoes."She looks at her Brother "Get out of my room will you?!". Her brother smiles at her with his arms folded leaning against the corner of his sisters door and her wall. "Nope not until you get your butt downstairs."
She growls at him "I said get out of my room!". In frustration she throws her hairbrush at him. Daniel manages to side step so that the hair brush misses him.
"That wasn't nice I'm telling mum!".
She smirks at him "You do what you want..You pathetic baby." She laughs at him "Your acting like a 5 year old."Daniel looks annoyed at her "No actually that's you, No wonder I'm Mum's faveriote."
Daniel quickly storms out the room and Alexis gets up to slam the door behind him grateful for a bit of peace.
She thinks to herself "Maybe I will bunk off school after all, I deserve a bit of fun putting up with this pathetic family.
She lays down on her bed and puts her headphones on blocking out the world.
