Hey so this is a really long chapter but I hope you like it. Thanks for reading and please let me know what you think.

The next morning Katlyn picked me up. When the car pulled into the school parking lot Heath was waiting for me. “Cassy please can we talk?” His blue eyes begged.
Heath had called me a million times last night. All of which I ignored. I held up my hand. “We talked last night. I have nothing more to say to you.” I felt him before I saw him. My eyes immediately found Damon.
“Hey Cass want to go to class?” Damon asked as he walked up to us. “Apparently government is full so they put me in economics. I guess we now have all the same classes.” His eyes looked over my body and he smiled. “Looking hot as always. Though after I got your home you were even hotter.” He winked at Heath. “If you know what I mean.”
I wore white ripped jeans and a tight black tank top. My long dark hair hung loose around me. “Sure.” I smiled and started to leave with him.
“Cassy come on babe. I’m the quarterback you aren’t gonna find anyone better than me,” Heath called.
I stopped and turned back to him. Fire burned in my eyes as I concealed my canines. “There are plenty of baby faced quarterbacks but there is only one of me. Have fun with Jade. I hope you’re not her baby daddy.” I smiled. “Oh and all the guys who you think are your friends, they’re not. They were just nice to you because you were dating me. Don’t be surprised if you’re not quarter back by the end of the day.”
Heath just gaped at us while we walked off. “Remind me never to piss you off,” Damon joked.
I laughed and he smiled. I couldn’t help but feel we had a connection. Something about him called to me. I could tell when he was near. It was like my body sensed his. Also he made my flame sore to life within me when no one else ever had.
We didn’t talk as we walked, though everyone else did. Word spread like wild fire about what happened at the Grill last night. People turned to their neighbor as we passed. The humans gossiped as the Guardian slightly nodded at me.
“Looks like you’re the new buzz of the school,” I said as we entered biology.
Once again I had a table to myself and Mr. Spritz told Damon to sit next to me. Damon shrugged as we sat down. “It sounded like we are. I guess everyone thinks we’re going out now.”
I looked at him. He still wore his jacket but he had a white shirt this time. His dark eyes looked at me. They were searching mine. He was trying to find something in my eyes. “What are you doing tonight?”
I was taken aback by his question. “I don’t know why?”
“Wanna go out?”
“That didn’t take long,” Emily coughed, grinning at me.
I rolled my eyes at her. “Why?”
Damon slid his hand so he touched my arm. “Well I thought we connected. And I’m new here so I figured why not…” His fingers brushed up and down the inside of my forearm. “…Have someone show me around.”
I felt a chill run through my body. The flame within me filled me with a sense of fire butterflies. Damon was the only person in the world. He was all I saw. I wanted to go; I had to be with him. I might have been mad at him last night but he had said sorry for pressuring me. And I had the feeling he was only doing it to get me to admit I didn’t like Heath the way I should for a boyfriend. But since the first time I saw him, he was all I could think about.
