Hey so sorry for it taking me so long to post. I hope to be finishing this story up before I start on my next. So I know the title is lame but it's a filler chapter so enjoy and please comment and vote! Let me know what you think

“You two seem to be hitting it off quite well,” I said as I saw Cam and Jenny. They were walking together and Cam had his arm around Jenny’s waist and was whispering in her ear while she giggled.

Cam grinned while Jenny blushed. “I… umm…”

I laughed and Cam’s grin only grew as he reached down and took her chin and tilted it up to which she blushed even more. Jess walked up behind me and shook his head. “First it was you Cass and now Jenny. And here I thought you Daughters were stronger than this.”

“Than what?” I cocked an eyebrow at him.

He smirked. “Being smitten love sick little girls.” He dodged my hit and walked off laughing while Jenny and I glared at him.

“So you guys gonna ask to be mates?” I asked as I rolled my eyes and brought my attention back to them.

“Yeah we were going to talk to you and Damon about it today. I mean we’ve been trying but you two are so busy,” Cam said.

I sighed. “Tell me about it and it’s only going to get worse. Graduation couldn’t get here fast enough.” I leaned against the lockers. Well it would and then we would have an all-out battle, said a little voice in the back of my head. Damon and I hadn’t told anyone yet because we just didn’t know what to do. How could we organize for a defense like that without letting the Hunters find out?

Cam laughed. “Or is that because after graduation you and Damon will probably become the leaders.”

“No I don’t even want to think about that.” I held up my hand. “One thing at a time. And make sure you’re at the meeting tonight. We have a lot to talk about and it’s important.”

“Hey how are you doing?” Emily leaned forward in her seat during class. “We haven’t seen you in a while.”

“I know.” I leaned back in my seat as I watched Mr. Spritz write on the board about ATP and cells. We were reviewing for our finals which was in two weeks. Two weeks and Damon and I wouldn’t have to pretend to be with the Hunters and hopefully thinks would calm down. I loved the Protectors being here and helping me train but I was split between them, the pack, and the Hunters. Damon was helping splitting the duties and I was thankful but the more he was able it seemed the more we had to do. I was ready to just lock us in our house for a weekend and not leave or have anyone bug us. That wouldn’t happen for a long time if it ever would.

“Cassandra are you paying attention?” Mr. Spritz asked.

“Yes Sir.” I leaned back forward and smiled. “Please continue.” One thing at a time, I told myself. I am Faera’s Rebirth and I can do this.

I was thankful by the time Gym came around. The whole class was Guardians and since finals were so close the coach let us just blow off steam and we got to play soccer. As soon as I set foot outside I stretched my arms and smiled.

“Cass!” Jenny ran up to me. “You and Damon are team captions. You’re gonna pick me first right?” She locked her in mine as we walked to the field.

“Of course. This is basically going to be battle of the mates and it should be very entertaining.”

I pulled away from Jenny and went to stand next to Damon as team caption. “You know just because you’re my mate it doesn’t mean I’m not going to stomp you.” He said with a devilish smirk.
