Before we went to my house to talk to everyone we stopped by Damon's house so he could take a shower and change since he was clover in blood and had barely any clothing left.
Damon came down the couple of steps from of the bathroom without a shirt. He was back in his human form but I could see small changes. His shoulders were broader and something behind his eyes flashed.
“You really can’t keep a shirt on can you,” I teased as I sat on the bed.
Damon laughed. “Unlike you my cloths got destroyed. You look like you just finished getting ready besides your dress getting stained.” He picked a shirt out of the dresser.
He was right. My hair and makeup were still perfect. The only sign of the fight had been Damon’s blood on my dress and hands and arms. “Not everyone can be as perfect as me.”
Damon was about to poke his head through his shirt when he looked over at me. “You think you’re perfect?”
I laughed. “Don’t you?”
He came and lightly pushed me back down on the bed so he lay on top of me. “More than you know,” he breathed.
“You can’t really mean that.” I felt my heart pound in my chest.
He stroked my cheek. “I do Cassandra. You are perfect. I love everything about you.” He smiled. “And don’t say I can’t because I’ve only known you three…” He checked the time. “No, four days. Four days of being with you almost none stop.”
“You barely saw me the first say.” I wrapped my arms around his neck.
He chuckled deep within his chest. “You really should close your window at night.”
“You broke into my house?” I couldn’t but help to smile.
Damon gave me a devilish smile. “More like went in through an open window.”
“And more of the bad boy comes out.” I giggled and kissed him.
Damon’s lips were soft against mind. I wrapped my fingers in his hair. The familiar flame flittered in my chest but now it roared to life. It fill my body so Damon was all I could feel, taste, think about, he was the only thing in my world.
I felt him wrap his arms around me. The feel of his hands on my bare back made my heart pound harder in my chest. A small moan escaped my lips.
“Was that a moan?” Damon grinned down at me.
“And if it was?” I held my breath as he looked at me. Once again I could see that look in his eyes. It was power, but not just any power but was years of seeing the world, years of searching for me. It was strength and love.
Damon kissed my neck and I had to bite down on my lip so I wouldn’t moan again. His lips explored my neck, covering every inch. My body yearned for him. I felt my body want to transform but didn’t. Somehow Damon was causing me to want to transform but he was also stopping me. I closed my eyes as Damon pulled my leg up. His hand slid down the back of my leg as his lips found mine and I pulled him closer while the other hand slid to my side and his thumb slipped under the side of my dress.
“Cassandra,” he moaned.
I looked into his eyes. We were alone at his house. No one knew where we were and we were alone in his bed. I bit my lip. I had never really been in a situation like this before. I had always known I had to keep myself pure for my mate but wasn’t Damon going to be my mate?
